There is another great credit card sign-up bonus that is now live! This one is for the Chase Sapphire card. It will give you 50,000 points after you spend $3000 on the card in 3 months. That is not that hard if you are using it for all expenses! The annual fee of $95 is waived for the first year with this offer. The points can be transferred on a 1:1 ratio to many airlines and hotels, or you can use it as $625 towards booking travel through their Ultimate Rewards program. That can sometimes be an even better deal than using miles for flights – especially if the airfare is inexpensive (ie around 200 bucks or less). I also like that their phones are answered “by real people” not prompts that force you to be stuck in an “Automated Hell” for who knows how long!
I plan to apply for this card tomorrow and then transfer the 50,000 points into my Continental airlines account. I’m pretty excited for my account to receive this lovely bonus. It will help A TON towards some future trips I have planned. I do already have a couple of Chase cards, so we’ll see if they are willing to give me another or if I may have to make a trade with one I already have open. I’ll let you know what happens.
Also, my mom applied for the AMEX Gold offer I talked about in the previous post. I saved screen shots of all the pages of the offer, so hopefully there won’t be too large of an issue in getting her the 50,000 Membership Rewards points from that offer. Will keep you posted on that, too! All around it has been a 4 alarm weekend for great points offers!
Here is one more Mommy Points tip from the weekend…… If you have a good children’s museum in your area, consider an annual pass that will cover all of your family that lives in the same area that you do. For example, the picture above was taken at the local children’s museum yesterday (please forgive the craptastic Iphone photo quality) and they charge $5 per person for admission. So, it would have cost The Man, The Grandparents, Little C, and me a combined total of $25 for one visit. The annual pass that covers all of us was only $59 for the year – WAY better deal than paying per visit. Of course, buy your annual pass with a card that earns you points for an even better deal!
Apply here for the Chase Sapphire card!
Again, I am not getting any $$$ from you doing this – I just think it is a great deal. I am using the same link to get to the application from another blog that I like to read, so they may be getting some $$$ from your app, but I am just sharing the info for free. 🙂
