Naturally on the day that I was caught up in the Starwood Preferred Guest promo rumors, Hyatt comes out with their fall promo! I think they were just trying to beat the impending Starwood announcement, but that is just my guess! This Hyatt promo isn’t exactly “earth shattering”, but it is okay in my book. I know my husband will be a bit disappointed as he was hoping for an “every stay counts double” type promo to help him close out his quest for Diamond status this year.
Between September 15 – November 15, stay 3 nights and earn 5,000 bonus points. A maximum of 30,000 bonus points can be earned from this promo. The nights can be consecutive, or occur over a number of different stays. I am curious if it stacks with this Hyatt 3,000/5,000 point promo that some were targeted for as there is a two week overlap period. You can read all the fine print here.
As I mentioned in my Starwood Rumors post, I really like promos that involve “stay x number of days” and receive bonus points. I am often booked on a very low rate, so promos like this work better for me than promos where I get 2x or 3x points.
I know most aren’t throwing parties in celebration of this promo, but it is better than nothing….which is what many had right now for Hyatt. Of course, “Faster Free Nights” where you get one free night at any Hyatt after staying two nights at any Hyatt, would be nice to see at some point this year…come on, Hyatt!
You will be able to register for the promotion at www.goldpassport/possibilities starting on September 15th. So, don’t forget! 🙂 I plan to write a post that compares some of the major hotel chain’s fall hotel promos in the near future so that you can make sure your family is getting the most for its travel buck!
Are you disappointed in this promo? Excited that they finally have a promo again? What type of hotel promos do you like best for your family?
