In case you missed it, National Car Rental sponsored a $100 gas gift card giveaway in order to promote their new 1, 2, Free rental car promotion.  You can learn all about their 1, 2, Free promotion here (or just go ahead and register for their promo here).  Basically, you make two qualifying rentals of two days or more and earn one free day to use.  Sounds great to me!

Everyone who commented on the original contest post gained one entry.  Everyone who informed me that they “like”  Mommy Points on Facebook earned one additional entry.  There were a total of 93 eligible entries made and I used a random number generator to select the winner.  (boring, I know…..we will have little C draw the winner for our next contest!)

The winner was #12, and on our super official spreadsheet that corresponded with Carsten Varming and his comment of “A trip from LA to San Francisco to see family and friends.”  Sounds like a great trip to me – hopefully this $100 gas gift card can help get you to San Fran to visit family and friends soon!

Little C and I actually rented a car yesterday when we flew into Corpus Christi in order to go see the beach.  It was her first time to see such a large body of water, and she was definitely intrigued with the waves, sand, and all that comes along with the beach!  Since there isn’t really any public transportation to speak of in Corpus, there is no way we could have made it to the beach without a rental.

Thanks to all who entered, I loved reading everyone’s tips and in which cities they find it useful to rent cars!  Also, a huge thank you to National Car Rental for sharing details about their promo and sponsoring this contest.

Carsten, National Car Rental should be contacting you soon via email to get your gift card to you.  Congrats!

    • Levi, I’m never one to knock free gas as it is a necessary evil in many parts of the country (including mine). However, I am all for carbon offsets as well. Much love to anyone who is doing their part to help the environment!

    • Congrats!!! If you don’t hear from them within a few days, let me know. I sent your info to them today. Thanks for reading and entering the contest.
