One World Mega Do Update…..Kind of.

A reader was nice enough to send me an email to let me know that there was an update posted on the Megado.com website regarding the upcoming One World Mega DO in January.  I was super excited that it was information related to booking seats on the charter!  Well, it wasn’t exactly that….basically it was an update to say that there is not yet an update.  🙂

It sounds like the “small print details” of the trip are still in the hands of the various lawyers.  Boring!  Just kidding, that kind of stuff is important on big events like this.  Anyway, the site says not to expect an update about booking seats until sometime next week.  The good news is that gives you at least a few more days to convince yourself you want to go!  Seats may go very quickly, so be ready to book as soon as the annoucement is made.

Just wanted to pass the information along since I know many of you are anxiously awaiting the big booking announcement just like I am.  You (and I) have the weekend off from checking the status of booking – hopefully we will hear more next week.  Probably a good thing since my weekend is jam packed with family events….you know how it gets the closer we get to the Holiday Season.  🙂

  1. With as much interest as I’ve seen they may need to add a second charter.
I was hopeful I could book a first class seat. My guess is they will be gone by the time registration opens for the rest of us, after the people who attended the launch get first shot at booking seats. My expectations may be reduced to a middle seat. 🙁 Hopefully we all get to go

    • @JimL, a fleet of chartered planes would be super cool! I have no clue how much demand there will be for F seats from those who were at the launch party. I will say that I flew in a middle seat at the back of the plane for the SMD3 and it wasn’t an issue at all. I would prefer a slightly better seat this go round, but as long as you are on the plane you will have a great time.

  2. I was really looking forward to this MegaDo after attending the SMD3. However, it doesn’t look like the sponsers are stepping up as much as they did on SMD3. The biggest carrot I’ve seen is the possible status upgrade on American.

Then it’s also the money aspect of it all falling so close after the holidays.

I’m gonna try to attend though!

  3. @Serion, I will think there is a very strong possibility that there will be more “surprises” to come from the sponsors. That is just my guess, but I think what we have found out about so far is just the beginning. Hope you decide to make the trip!

@james, ha ha. Shhhhh. Don’t tell. You too can join the Mommy Points Insiders club for 48 monthly payments of $9.99. I’ll even throw in a second set of food processor blades for free! 🙂
