Priority Club has now joined the club of hotel loyalty programs that have announced their first promo of the year. You can read about the Marriott, Hilton, Starwood Preferred Guest, and additional Priority Club promos here. Priority Club will award double hotel points or airline miles for every stay after the second qualifying stay at participating InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn Club Vacations hotels worldwide during the promotional period that runs from 1/23/2012 – 4/30/2012. If your first qualifying stay is at a Staybridge Suites or Candlewood Suites, then you earn double points beginning with your first stay.
You must register for this promotion prior to your first qualifying stay, as no retroactive credit will be given for stays prior to registration. Most business and leisure rates are reported to be qualifying rates for the purposes of this promo. Though it seems that the registration page is not yet active, so consider this just advanced notice of the promo. 😉
For most people, this promo isn’t lucrative enough to move business to Priority Club that otherwise would go to a different hotel chain, but at least it is a promo that does award some bonus points – even for one night stays (after the first stay). I wish that the current Starwood Preferred Guest promo gave some bonus point love for one-night stays!
What do you think of Priority Club’s first hotel promo of 2012? Good? Bad? Boring? I am just ready to see Hyatt’s first promo of the year so I can solidify some hotel plans that I have for the next few months! Thanks so much to Vertigo for posting this head’s up on Milepoint. 😉
