You may have seen my post from last night that highlighted some of my concerns about the trip I had planned today to fly to California with my toddler to spend the weekend at Disneyland. While this morning was a bit rough as I wasn’t feeling 100%, once we got to the airport, it was such a great day. My toddler had a five star travel day. When a baby nearby was crying she said, “Mommy, tell her that toddlers don’t cry on planes”. I said that is true, toddlers don’t, but sometimes babies do.
We went to the park almost as soon as we landed and she lit up like a Christmas tree when she saw a parade coming down Main Street. The Winnie the Pooh ride was also a big hit.
It is now almost 11PM Central time, and my kid is still up having a blast. I am trying to get her to go to sleep since I know she will inevitably crash tomorrow, but needless to say, she has had so much fun already that the trip is already worth it. Even though she went to Disney a year ago, she is so much more aware now than then and keeps saying, “one more ride!'” Not surprisingly, posting from the road while traveling (alone) with a toddler is next to impossible, so apologies in advance if you see a drop in posts for the next couple of days. Sometimes you just gotta “log off” and enjoy the points you have earned in action.
