1,500 Free Hilton Points + Free Shutterfly PhotoBook (Targeted)

I was cleaning up my email account today and noticed an email from the Hilton HHonors program that offered me 1,500 HHonors points and a free 8×8 Shutterfly photo book.  A quick search of FatWallet and SlickDeals showed that others have received this same offer, so while the code implies that it is targeted, it is probably at least semi-widely targeted, so check your emails closely if you are a HHonors members.  In case you are curious, my HHonors account has zero recent activity.  The codes are one-time use, so I can’t share mine since I already used it.

Here are the terms and conditions for the offer:

Offer valid for one free 20-page 8×8 photo book with hard photo cover. Offer not valid for licensed premium photo books, leather hard cover, padded photo cover, cloth hard cover, faux lizard hard cover or soft photo cover photo books. Offer valid on one order and for one-time redemption per billing address. Any additional pages will incur a per-page fee. Storytelling™ styles and elements will incur additional fees. Taxes, shipping and handling will apply. Offer ends May 4, 2012 (11:59 p.m. PST). In order to qualify for the 1,500 Hilton HHonors™ Bonus Points, you must order the free photo book using the promo code provided by May 4, 2012 (11:59 p.m. PST). Please allow up to two weeks from promotion end date for Hilton HHonors™ Bonus Points to be applied to member’s accounts. Bonus Points do not count toward elite tier qualification.

As a parent who thinks that photo books are a great way to capture photos and memories, this deal is really a double win!  Free points and a mostly free photo book.  I say mostly free because I believe you do have to pay shipping and handling charges for the photo book (though I have been able to stack promos with Shutterfly before, so maybe there is a way out of that).  Check your inbox, spam, and junk folders to see if you received a similar offer from HHonors.  The title of the email I received was “A gift to our members: Free 8×8 Photo Book plus 1,500 HHonors Points”.

Of course, this comes on the heels of the latest Hilton HHonors Award chart devaluation.  Check out Loyalty Traveler for a detailed write-up of those coming changes.

I’d love to know if you have received a similar email from Hilton with a code to take advantage of this deal.  The hardest part for me will be finding time to make a photo book by May 4th!  What a good problem to have though.  😉  Good luck search through your inbox!

  1. I got it too and was trying to figure out if there was a catch that I was missing in the T&C. I don’t think I can get the points without getting the book can I?

  2. Both my wife and I each received the email, too. I just noticed mine this morning; after reading your post, I checked her junk email box and found it, too! I am sure she will use the codes.

  3. Thank you for the update! I checked my email and there it is. My wife is happy as she gets herself another free book.

Thanks again as you have saved me points in the past for not checking emails.

  4. I got one just in time to put together a photo book my wife has been patiently waiting for since our last big trip.

  5. So glad to hear that many of you got the same email! For those that don’t want the book, maybe someone in your family does and would be willing to pay the shipping and you get the points. Just a thought as lots of folks do like those books.

  6. @Aarash, thanks for donating your code! Hopefully someone will get good use out of it. If anyone else wants to share their code, feel free!

  7. “my HHonors account has zero recent activity”

hmmm… My HHonors account has lots of recent activity, mostly from cc spend, and I did NOT get this offer. Coincidence? As an HHonors Gold, with both the AMEX and the Citi HHonors cards, not getting it doesn’t make me feel very special. I suppose they thought if I didn’t get it, I wouldn’t know about it……
