US Airways Daily Deal – 500 Miles!

Update: on 7/18 another good deal is back for just $4.98 for a contraption that keeps your credit cards attached to your cell phone.  Potentially useful and a very inexpensive way to get 500 miles (or more if you refer friends)!

Via the US Airways Dividend Miles Daily Deal site you can again get 500 miles for signing up and making your first purchase for just $5.  In this case your first purchase is a $5 magazine subscription to Working Mother (do working mothers have time to read magazines??).  So, for $5 you get 500 miles and the magazine.  You can then refer others, and get 500 miles for each person who makes a purchase using your referral link.  It can be a decent chunk of miles if you recruit your husband, sister, ex-cousin, etc.  Keep in mind the 500 miles is only for the first purchase.  You still earn miles for subsequent purchases, but not at a rate that makes it worth purchasing unless you really want what is being sold.

This deal was out on Friday, but is back today under “Other Deals” on the Dividend Miles Daily Deal website.  There was a conga started in last week’s post (link below).  Feel free to go there to utilize a link, or start a fresh one here (my link is in the first sentence, but I am more than happy to share the love and have you use each others links!).  I know many of you already got in on this last week, but in case you missed it, you get another shot today.

Read last week’s post for more details.  Gotta run to my flight now…….

  1. Had better STAY AWAY from them.
They failed to honor referral miles by ‘manually dedcuting’ them even when the miles have been credited, by saying that the T&C requires 1 per household, even though I paid for many friends with my CC.

Next time they ‘manually deducted’ all the referral miles again even if the T&C allow 10 per household. This time they have no reason.

Basically they are a SCAM. You contact them? they will say they need to discuss everything with their ‘boss’ and then return an answer ‘Sorry….’

The dmdailydail.com have the same staff as dailydeal and it is ovvious they have a total of less than five employees. I will spread my word to let anyone I know STAY AWAY from it.

    • I think it took a couple weeks last time for me. It wasn’t horribly long, but I don’t remember exactly.

  2. Confused. I bought the deal (input my card# on the DM Daily Deal site and got the certificate. When I go to apply the certificate to the backsidestore.com page it just takes $5.01 off the price and says I still owe $4.98. Anyone else having the same issue? Or am I just doing it wrong.
