The final Daily Getaways deal this week are very discounted tickets from SeaWorld and Busch Gardens.  In case you are new to the Daily Getaways, they are daily deals for the next five weeks on discounted hotel stays, discounted points purchases, car rental deals, and more.  The travel packages are provided by U.S. Travel Association, in cooperation with participating travel operators of the U.S. Travel Association and advertising support provided by American Express. To get an additional 10% off savings you must pay with any American Express card.  Daily Getaways are only open to those who are US residents ages 18 and up (though some packages are for 21+).  Here is a link to some tips for successfully purchasing these limited quantity deals.

Deal Analysis:

Assuming you are only interested in a one day visit to the park, and don’t qualify for free park admission thanks to being a teacher in FL, CA, or TX or via being active duty, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman or a dependent, this is a very good deal.  Read the info available at the links if you are interested in details on either of those opportunities.

Tickets generally retail at the gate for around $90 for adults and $80 for children.  Of course finding some discounts to drop that price by about $10 – $20 each is pretty easy, but it is not common at all to find a discount that drops the price as substantially as via this Daily Getaway discount.  Remember that children under 3 are free and do not require a ticket.  If you plan to visit one of these parks for one day only before May 15th of next year, these are very good deals to consider.

These deals go on sale Friday at 1PM Eastern on the Daily Getaways website.  Will you be purchasing any SeaWorld or Busch Gardens tickets?

  1. A little cheeky that parking and food discounts are not included, this can add up quickly for a large family. Still, the chance to see Shamu makes this a worthwhile proposition.

  2. Oooh, you just gave me a tough decision. Busch Gardens offers resident season passes for only about $10 more than the ticket price. I was just going to grab one of those in case I went to Busch Gardens again. This is much cheaper and makes the difference in cost of the season pass much higher!

    Thanks for the deal!

  3. As Jeanne said, a year long pass is only slightly more than a full price one-day ticket. So if you’re going to go to BG or SW twice or more stay away from this Daily Getaways deal. The year long pass also give 10% off of food and discounted parking(maybe free? it’s been awhile for me). But hey if anyone’s gonna be in Tampa for the Frequent flier meeting later this summer, this deal could be a fun way to spend some down time (or to send the SO/kids too while you’re geeking out on points!).

    • Totally agree, as I mentioned in the post. This deal is good if and only if you are only going to go for one day. Otherwise there are better deals out there for sure. 😉

  4. Just bought 3 of them as the little one is not 3 years yet 🙂
GETAWAY: Visit Any SeaWorld® Park for Only $49
    QUANTITY: 3
    COST: 147.00
    AMERICAN EXPRESS(R) CARD 10% SAVINGS: 14.70
    COST AFTER SAVINGS: 132.30

  5. I got the deal as it was perfect for our needs – we planned on driving down to SD to meet up with friends. One day at the Safari Park via a Living Social deal & now another day at Sea World through this. I have no desire to drive down to San Diego from L.A. with a preschooler and infant twice in a summer. 🙂 I can handle a long-haul trans-Pacific flight by myself with the kids but not a three-hour road trip.
