Deal Analysis:

The two deals that jump out at me personally are the three day tickets to both Orlando Universal parks for $87.30 and the Universal vacation package in Orlando for $1692 (with the 10% Amex discount).  The theme park tickets are a solid deal if you were planning on going for three days since it is quite a bit cheaper than the best deal I saw on Universal’s website.  The Orlando vacation package is also pretty solid since it includes airfare for four, park tickets for four, ground transportation to/from the airport, and an on-site hotel room.  If you are flying from an airport where airfare to Orlando is traditionally expensive this is an even better deal.  Think of it as $423 per person all-in including flight, hotel, and theme park tickets and it is easy to see the math works out to be a pretty solid deal with no miles and points required!

Have you bought one of these deals before, or are you planning on doing so today?

These deals go on sale Monday at 1PM Eastern on the Daily Getaways website.

  1. Man…I was there! 10 minutes before 1pm. Refreshing refreshing refreshing. 1pm came – BUY NOW. I got a message that said “inventory on hold while people complete their purchase”

I’m still there…clicking “try again” until it tells me it’s sold out. 🙁

    So disappointed. 🙁

  2. My friend and I had surprisingly good luck today on this one. He was able to get 2 packages in his cart at exactly 1pm, and I got 1 in my cart as a backup option. But then we were so busy chatting back and forth about how to use them, that we didn’t pay attention to the counter at the top of the page, and both our carts expired! (Note to self: finish filling out the purchase page within 5 minutes!!) Luckily, I was able to snag 1 more in my cart after refreshing for a couple of minutes. I was pretty shocked that either of us even had a shot, with only 100 of them being available!

  3. Wow…you were very lucky Keith. I tried and tried and tried. It finally came back and said “sold out” around 1:10pm

  4. Its too bad that these are only for Universal Studios in America. I have been pondering going to one on a trip to Asia and having it be on sale would have pushed me over the edge
