Today Hyatt launched a new fun site called “Make Vegas Yours” that is designed to give you information and tips about the Hyatt and M Life partnership, as well as some information on really cool and unique things to do while in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas is one of those cities that people generally love or hate. I am firmly in the “love” category – so much so that we got married there and even did our “trash the dress” photos after the wedding in the only-in-Vegas Neon Boneyard with old Vegas signs (though the dress wasn’t actually trashed). We don’t make it to Vegas as frequently these days as we did during our pre-kid days when we had both more free time and discretionary “fun money”, but we do try to still get there are least once a year or so as it is just in our blood to love the sort of craziness and energy that the city has to offer. Yes, we have even taken our kid there.
I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about many things in Vegas, but the new “Make Vegas Yours Site” still had some information about unique activities that I had not yet heard of – including an “art hike” through ARIA’s fine-art collection with a personal trainer?! This activity is available Monday through Thursday via appointment only and is described as a cardio-meets-yoga calorie burn, all while taking in the most noteworthy artwork along the way. That sounds right up my alley. Another cool ones is The Alternative Fitness company founded by former Cirque du Soliel performers that offers anti-gravity yoga, aerial classes, pole fitness and dance workshops also sounds super fun and even good for you!
Naturally the site also has tons of info on places to drink, dine, pool parties, and the other Vegas norms, but the unique and “good for you” activities are what really caught my eyes. I’m going back in September and fully intend to make use of the Hyatt and M Life partnership that has been going strong for a year or so at this point. I wrote in greater detail about that partnership here, but as a refresher their partnership allows Hyatt junkies to earn and redeem Hyatt Gold Passport points, as well as earn credits toward elite status, at twelve M life Resorts on The Strip. These properties include: Bellagio, ARIA, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Vdara, Signature at MGM Grand, The Hotel at Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Mirage, New York New York, Excalibur, and the Monte Carlo.
Your Hyatt Gold Passport status will also match to MLife status (and vice versa) so you can get some extra perks while in Vegas such as priority taxi lines (huge perk), priority dining reservations, potential room upgrades, bonus on Express Comps, discount in retail shops, and even free tickets to things like the Shark Tank and Dolphin Habitat. The exact perks you get depend on your matched status level and you can see a chart of the benefits here (though not all perks are listed).
In addition to the new site offering some unique ideas for activities in Vegas, there are some contests/giveaways launching to celebrate. I tweeted about (and entered) one today that had you share your favorite things to do in Vegas with the hashtag
#MVYentry. The five winners each receive a $100 MGM M Life gift card. My answer was that my favorite thing to do in Vegas was to get married. It may sound very “Britney Spears crazy” circa her 55 hour Vegas wedding 10 years ago, but ours was a bit more traditional….mostly. That contest is now over, but there are more to come.
If you like Hyatt and Vegas, I recommend you check out the new Make Vegas Yours Site and check back here tomorrow as I will be launching the giveaway of a $250 M Life gift card for you to use however you want to, well, #makeVegasyours.
