New Hyatt Gold Passport Fall Promos Out, But Targeted

The good news is that there are some Hyatt Gold Passport fall promotions out today, but the bad news is that they are targeted.  I don’t know for sure how many different versions of the promos are out there, but the ones I have read about thus far.

Hyatt promo

Earn up to 50,000 bonus points for 20 eligible nights between September 1 through November 30, 2014.  Mlife stays do not count toward this promotion.  There is a separate public promo for Hyatt properties in Las Vegas.

Here is the earning structure on the bonus points promotion:

5 Nights + 5,000 Points = 5,000
10 Nights + 10,000 Points = 15,000
15 Nights + 15,000 Points = 30,000
20 Nights + 20,000 Points = 50,000

Another promotion out today that has been discussed on Flyertalk is:

After completing your tenth Eligible Night from September 1, 2014 through November 30, 2014, you will receive Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond membership, valid through February 2016

I have Hyatt Diamond status, but am very off the re-qualification pace, and have not been targeted for either offer.  My husband just hit Diamond status, but currently has no more stays booked for the year and he also was apparently not targeted.

You can try your shot at registering for the bonus points promotion here.  No guarantees, but it didn’t let either of us register.  I haven’t yet seen the link to try registering for the Diamond promotion.

Were you targeted for either offer?  I sure hope this wasn’t the “real” fall Hyatt promo since it left lots of folks out in the cold non-bonus-points world.

Thanks to Loyalty Lobby for the bonus points registration link.

  1. I’m also already diamond, was NOT targeted, but was able to register for the 50K points promo. Won’t be able to qualify since rest of 2014 stays are in December. Have 16 days in early 2015 and already looking forward to spring 2015 promo.

  2. I did not receive the offer. If this was Hyatt’s fall offer I will move al my upcoming reservations on Hyatt hotels to Starwood. After spending lots of money on Hyatt this year, if they fell my business is not that important to not include me in this offer I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

  3. I have diamond status and am well off requalification and wasn’t targeted. My husband is a platinum with zero Hyatt stays this year and received an offer for 5000 points after registration and one eligible night/stay. May not be the best tactic for fostering loyalty.

    • Two more data points for comparison:

I received the same offer as your husband: 5000 points after first eligible stay. I have no status with Hyatt and only 100 points in my account.

My husband has diamond status and has had several paid stays with Hyatt this year. He received the 50,000 points offer.

  4. I was targeted.

I’m Diamond, but only because I applied for a Diamond Challenge at the beginning of June and rearranged some Hilton/SPG stays in order to hit the target (i.e., I’m a newly minted Diamond, without a long history of loyalty with this company).

  5. Diamond from a challenge last year. Have had about 10 stays so far this year and another booked for later in the year. Targeted for the points promo mommy points described. It may work well for me. And help me requalify for diamond.

  6. I got targeted to receive 5k bonus points after my first qualifying stay. specifically states 5k maximum no matter how many stays I have. now I know why.
