Starwood Preferred Guest has a history of offering various online games, and they now have a new one called Tap Into Luxury where you can win free hotel nights, SPG points, iTunes gift cards, or Ticketmaster concert cash. Like some of their previous games you can “spin” twice each day to see if you have won one of the available prizes.
The game did a pretty good job interesting me in some of the various SPG properties I landed on! I haven’t won yet, but I know many in the miles and points community who won on similar SPG games in the past, so I’m happy to try my luck on the days I remember to play through September 30th. I don’t mind investing a few minutes every now and then to try and win travel – and of course I have the SPG numbers for all eligible family members in one place to play quickly for everyone.
The Tap Into Luxury games is open to legal residents of the United States (including the District of Columbia), Canada (excluding Quebec), Australia, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom. It seems that if your SPG account is registered outside of those countries that you will not be able to play online.
- Night at a SPG-participating Category 1-5 hotel or resort, 195 Awards available
- 500 Starpoints, 1,000 Starpoints, 5,000 Starpoints, 390 Awards available
- $50 iTunes gift cards, 156 available
- $50 Ticketmaster Concert Cash, 975 available
Each entry into the game earns one entry into the Grand Prize drawing for 250,000 SPG points! Just keep in mind they value those points are valued at $6,250.00 (2.5 cents each).
They also have an onsite game at the US Open Tennis event in the SPG Booth where there are 80 free nights at Category 1-5 hotels available in case you happen to be heading to the US Open.
If you win a prize via the Tap Into Luxury game I’d love to hear it. Personally, I’d put a free Cat 1-5 hotel night to good use on a ski trip!
Thanks to Loyalty Traveler for sharing news of the new game.
