Time for some quick miles, points, and travel catch-up….
Buying miles or points can be a good deal if you have a pretty immediate plan for redeeming the points or the price is just so insanely low that you know you will get more than that value back out of them eventually. Right now IHG points are for sale for as low as $0.00575 each, which is the lowest we see IHG points get these days. Of course that doesn’t mean you should buy if you don’t need them, but they don’t really get cheaper or easier to obtain than this.
- 1,000 – 10,000 points for $13.50 per 1,000 points
- 11,000 – 25,000 points for $12.50 per 1,000 points
- 26,000 – 60,000 points for $11.50 per 1,000 points
Then you also get a 50% points bonus for buying 1,000 – 49,000 points and a 100% bonus if you buy 50,000 – 60,000 points. This deal is available until September 22nd.
Chase Lounge Available at Epcot During Food and Wine Festival:
Chase is again offering their debit and credit cardholders (including, but not limited to Disney Visa cardholders), access to the Chase Lounge at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival from September 19th – November 10th. The lounge is located on the third floor of the American Adventure Pavilion within the Epcot World Showcase and offers a place to relax, complimentary beverages, and charging stations for your devices.
I love when credit cards provide extra perks like this, and I remember really enjoying the Chase Lounge at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London! This one may not offer quite as many amenities as that one did, but at Disney a place to relax and recharge (literally) can only be a good thing.
Marriott FlashPerks – Kauai Marriott Resort Package for 1/2 off – 20,000 points per night:
Today at 12PM Central a new round of Marriott FlashPerks will go on sale. The hotels available include Kauai Marriott where you will pay 1/2 the normal points price and get not only a room, but a complimentary room upgrade and two “bottomless Mahalo Mugs” with unlimited non-alcoholic beverage refills. Valid from December 1 – 14th, up to 10 rooms per night. Other hotels available will include Baltimore Marriott, Napa Valley Marriott, and more.
Citi and Expedia Launch New Co-Branded Credit Cards:
Citibank and Expedia have launched two new co-branded credit cards. the Expedia+ Voyager and the Expedia+. These cards both earn Expedia+ points as their reward currency. Expedia points are not very high on my own personal miles and points ranking system, so this is not something that is likely to be in my wallet unless a humungous sign-up bonus comes out, but if you are interested in Expedia+ points then check out this post.
Hope you have a great Thursday afternoon!
