Southwest Airlines is pretty excited about the impending end of the “Wright Amendment” that has restricted where they could fly from the Dallas Love airport.  One of the ways they plan to celebrate is by giving away Rapid Reward points in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area!

Southwest AirBeginning today (9/27) they are giving away a total of 15,000,000 Rapid Reward points in the form of scratch off cards that will have anywhere from 1,000 – 25,000 points each on them.  You will have until December 31, 2014, to redeem the points – one per Rapid Rewards account.  However, if you have a Chase Southwest co-branded credit card you can get one bonus scratch off, so be sure to bring the credit card if you have it!

The locations to pick-up the free scratch-offs will be shared by @SouthwestAir and today they are at:

  • SMU Boulevard (Tailgate) – 9:00 am
  • Klyde Warren Park- 12:00 pm
  • Trinity Groves- 7:00 pm

The terms say you have to be 18+ to get a scratch off and of course supplies are limited.  The promotion will run until October 11th, so keep an eye on the @southwestair Twitter account if you live in, or will visit, the DFW area between now and October 11th.  Hopefully one of the giveaways will be in a location convenient for you and your family.  You can bet if I were in Dallas I would try to round-up the crew and go pick up some free points.

Free points are the very best kind, so let me know if you pick up some scratch-off Rapid Reward points thanks to Southwest!

  1. Great for those in Dallas. Good for you. I guess the rest of the country is just poo.

Why can’t they give stuff away in other places, too?
