Earn 2,000 Bonus FlexPerks Points Toward Airfare!

A card I don’t use very often, but still keep around, is the U.S. Bank FlexPerks® Travel Rewards Visa Signature® card.  It has helped me purchase a few airline tickets with points, and has some okay bonus categories of 2x points on gas, groceries, or airfare (whichever you spend the most in that month), 2x on cell phone expenses, and 3x on charity expenses.  You can redeem 20,000 points for an airline ticket that is selling for up to $400.  It isn’t the most straight-forward rewards program out there, but it has worked for me from time to time.

I don’t use it enough in my everyday life to rack up many points (though some do quite well with this card and Kiva.org), but when promos come around my points balance shoots up quickly.  I am finishing up a promo to earn 3,500 bonus points and now another bonus worth 2,000 bonus points for holiday spending has been announced.

FlexPerks Promo

This promo is likely not valid on all accounts and will likely vary somewhat from account to account, but it is going to help some of you and is worth a check in the promos section of your FlexPerks account.

Earn 2,000 bonus FlexPerks points for $1,250 in purchases from November 1 – December 31st

While I was reading about this offer in their promos section, I saw a couple of other promotions available on my account that I wanted to mention here.  Again, these many be somewhat different from account to account.

Earn 1,000 bonus FlexPoints when you enroll your account in Visa Checkout

Enroll in Visa Checkout between August 28 and November 30, 2014, and you’ll receive 1,000 bonus FlexPoints. Sign up today and shop online worry-free with Visa Checkout and your FlexPerks Visa card.

Earn 8,000 Bonus Points with Eligible Stays at Waldorf Astoria and Conrad Hotels & Resorts

FlexPoints are earned automatically when you use your FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Signature® card to book a stay of two or more nights at participating Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria and Conrad properties between October 1, 2014, and December 31, 2014. Stay must be completed by April 30, 2015. One award per cardmember. Qualifying stays are determined by total spend at checkout: $400 for Conrad and $500 for Waldorf Astoria, paid with a registered FlexPerks Visa Signature card.

I probably won’t make use of all of those promos, but I should be able to find a way to earn the 2,000 bonus FlexPerks via $1,250 in spending later this year.

Do you have any good promos in your FlexPerks account?

  1. Nothing for spend at all. 🙁

I did get the Visa Checkout 1K. And the site said even that may take as long as March 1st to post. Which is just weeks before my annual fee comes due.

Unless I get the fee waived this isn’t a card I’m going to renew. Just too (darn) hard to actually redeem for a ticket. I keep finding fares either $100s too low, which is a waste. Or $6 over, which can’t be used at all. 🙁

    • I sure agree with you. It took me 2 days to figure out or by LUCK to get to the right pathway to book for the domestic flight. First day I called for help, I was transferred to 7 different people and still cannot walk me thru. I was told that I can have an agent do the booking with a fee of $25.00. Second day I have to work for another 1 1/2 hr. before I stumbled the steps to lead me thru to book my flight. Waste of so much time.
I suggest that they should make ir much simpler for the customers.

    • Tammy, if you click one of the links in this post where the promos are described it should take you to the promo part of their website.

  2. Hi,

http:// flexperkspromos.usbank.com is where you go. Enter your Flexperks# and last 4 digits to see offers for you and offers you have registered for.

2,000 spend for the 2,500 points same here.
Visa Checkout 1K yup that too..
and the best one in my opinion was able to snag 2 tickets to 49ers game (I am from the Bay Area), with VIP Parking, pre-game field passes and seats to a very good section all for 130 dollars. No kiddin.. No miles/points auction unlike United MileagePlus, to win and go to a game.

That $49 Annual fee is worth it for what will be a great experience and the credit card is a keeper.
