I keep a close eye on the “Amex Offers for You” tab in my Amex online account because sometimes amazing targeted offers show up there, and one of the best offers ever was waiting in there this morning. The offer is a chance to save $150 off an AT&T wireless payment of $150 or more. Um, that’s as close as you can get to “a free lunch” since that was a bill I had to pay anyway on a card I already had (well, technically, that would be many lunches at that rate).
I normally have my AT&T bill auto-billed to my Ink Plus for 5x points, but I made a one-time payment of $150 with my targeted Amex small business card, and now my AT&T account shows a $150 credit. This means when my December cell phone bill rolls around, I will owe $150 less. What a great way to stretch a holiday budget – thanks Amex!
There were other offers in my Amex account I also liked, including $25 off a J Crew purchase of $125 or more and $5 off a FedEx purchase of $10 or more. Both of those will also help with keeping holiday costs a little bit lower, but neither compares to the $150 off a $150 AT&T wireless payment!
Frequent Miler reports that he already received his confirmation from AT&T that his payment qualified for the promo even though he just made it on the regular AT&T site. I just made my $150 payment and haven’t received a confirmation email yet, but hope to shortly. This is an amazing offer, and I recommend you saving it to your eligible Amex account as soon as possible since.

Offer valid for wireless bill pay for AT&T AutoPay or one-time payment only. Must add offer to Business Card from American Express OPEN (“Card”) and use same Card to redeem. Limit one $150 statement credit per American Express online account. Statement credit will appear on your American Express billing statement within 90 days after April 15, 2015, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying transaction. Enrollment limited. Offer is non-transferable. In order to be eligible for the offer, you must enroll your Card and use that Card to pay your wireless bill or other service charges online directly with AT&T at att.com/smallbusiness or by phone at 1-800-331-0500. Purchases for equipment or prepaid, U-verse, web hosting, or wireline services that do not appear on your AT&T wireless bill are excluded from this offer. Your payment must be in the amount of $150 or more in a single transaction and completed by April 15, 2015. Payments at retail locations or via third party resellers do not qualify. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying transaction is returned/cancelled.
