50,000 Miles via United MileagePlus Explorer Business Card!

Great news if you are looking to add 50,000 more United miles to your stash as there is currently a public link to apply for the United MileagePlus Explorer Business Card and get 50,000 miles after you spend $2,000 in the first three months!

While the 50k offer does regularly float around via targeted offers, the normal offer for this card is 30,000 miles after spending $1,000 in the first 3 months.

For those curious, this is not an affiliate link, just a good increased offer.

United Business Card 50000

I personally like the business version of this card better than the personal version as the business version pays out 2x miles on United purchases, restaurants, gas stations, and office supply stores, 1x on other purchases (personal card just gives 1x on all purchases except purchases made with United).  It also gives a 10,000 mile bonus when you spend $25,000 on the card in a calendar year.  It also gives a free checked bag for the cardholder + one additional person on the reservation, as well as “priority boarding”.

There is a $0 introductory fee the first year, then $95 in subsequent years.  This is marketed as a “limited time offer”, but I haven’t yet noticed an end date.

Thanks to View From the Wing for sharing news of this offer!

    • tassojunior, my pure guess is that a few days is probably fine. Often these things are around for at least a month, but that is just a guess.

  1. Do Chase business cards follow the same churn rules as personal cards, ie one can receive bonus if last application was over 24 months ago?

  2. Thanks for the alert!!

Are these applications supposed to be instant decision, or does everyone get pending? I just got pending and am wondering if I should call the reconsideration dept right away, or wait for the letter to come. 🙂

  3. Does united allow stop over on partner’s one way award ticket? I am thinking about traveling from LAX-ICN-BKK and i would like to spend a week in Korea before get to BKK. Thanks!

  4. Can you turn around and burn this card after receiving the miles? It says in the terms and conditions that “Benefits are available as long as cardmember’s MileagePlus Explorer Credit Card account is open and not in default. Upon closure of the cardmember’s MileagePlus Explorer Credit Card account, all benefits will be canceled.” Does that mean they pull the points once you cancel?

  5. Just booked a United flight last week. if i applied for this card. and then upgraded (pay) one segment of my flight to premium economy for $20 with my new Explorer card. Would i get the free check in bag for both ways?

    Thanks!

    • krazymunky, I’m not sure, but you would have a shot I would guess. Not 100% though since it wasn’t purchased with the card. That used to not be required in practice, but that may have changed.

    • Tom, wish that was my link (not an affiliate link, just a good deal), but I very much appreciate your effort! Many congrats on the approval – enjoy the miles!
