Update: I believe these fares are now gone, but huge congrats to everyone that got in on the amazing deal in time!

I thought this was a typo, but it’s real….

Right now you can get round trip tickets to Honolulu on United from multiple cities for less than $400 round trip.  Escape winter and head to paradise!  As shared by The Fare Deal Alert, here are some of the offerings:

  • Minneapolis [MSP] – $355
  • Detroit [DTW] – $381
  • Memphis [MEM] – $365
  • Cincinnati [CVG] – $360
  • Salt Lake [SLC] – $355

There are some dates available throughout 2015, though of course finding the lowest fares during school breaks will be hard to come by so don’t expect to find this price in July.  Use flexible date search on ITA Matrix or directly on United to find and book the fares.

Cheap Hawaii Fares

These are insane fares for Hawaii, so do not hesitate if you are interested.  You will have 24 hours to cancel if you book more than 7 days out, so use that to your advantage if you aren’t totally sure of your plans quite yet.  Of course you can use points from the Barclaycard Arrival Plus™ World Elite MasterCard® to take advantage of the low fares and keep cash in your pockets!

If you want ideas of where to stay in Hawaii you can check out some of the hotels we have stayed at on points here or I have a whole e-book on using miles and points in Hawaii available here.  Aloha!

  1. I thought Delta and United were BFFs… these seem to be all Delta Hubs… that the United sales are going from… hmmm are they not friends anymore? 🙂

    • @Nick, yeah I missed out on those yesterday too. I didn’t see the offer until this morning when it was no longer available. Hopefully Delta fights back again tomorrow and attacks DEN.

    • Yeah I missed those yesterday until it was too late. These things last hours usually, not days, so moving quickly is necessary to get in on time.

  2. As a Delta flyer, I would love to see Delta try and match this from MSP. But if they don’t in the next 24 hours and I can either get my kids sorted out or be persuaded to take them with me and can still manage to get them seats, we are booked for August.

    • Karen, if you aren’t sure about the kids I would book theirs today too and just cancel tomorrow if you don’t need them.

        • I am in CLT also. But I booked a RT from Memphis to HNL in December for $ 370.50 all in. I plan to use Avios to book an American RT positioning flight from CLT to Memphis for 9,000 Avios. Plus, spend a day or two in Memphis. CVG was also an option, but I like the Memphis options better.

  3. In MN …sitting at home last night after taking my wife to her massage appointment (I get brownie points for that right ?). I decided to read Boardingarea.com and catch up & see your post headline. I am thinking to my self another great Hawaii deal out of a hub I probably am not near or the deal has already passed me by. Then REALITY sets in…. this deal is good out of my home airport (MSP) and availability is from now thru January 2016… I just have to book this darn thing in the next few hours. I pick up my wife from her appointment & excitedly tell her the deal I just read about. We quickly look at schedules and book a flight for 9 nights (10 days) in January 2016 for $375 each. We were willing to pay a little more than $355 as we wanted to fly thru SFO (vs. Denver) & try out the Amex Centurion lounge in SFO.

We also wanted to wait till 2016 as we are already going to Hawaii on points for 2 weeks in April of this year (Big Island & Kauai).

This was fantastic deal & I am so glad my wife and I could take advantage of it. Thanks for POSTING!

FYI – as of this morning the same United flights & times are now pricing for $795 per person. It made a lot sense to act FAST last night!

    • Eric, yay! So glad you were able to get in on the deal in time and I bet you will love the Centurion Lounge. Thanks for sharing and congrats again on getting in on time – and yes, brownie points for the massage appointment!

  4. Thanks for posting this Summer!!! I jumped on this last night & got $386 RT fare for myself & 2 others. Cannot wait to go to Hawaii!! Do you have any trip recaps for Honolulu?
