Save $25 on Sam’s Club Memberships This Month

Several months ago it was announced that American Express would no longer be the issuer of Costco credit cards beginning next year, but today it was announced that American Express cards are now accepted at the Sam’s Club stores in the US and Puerto Rico. They were already accepted at the Sam’s Club online site as anyone who took advantage of this offer knew.

That is useful info for all of us with credit cards to have, but the even better news for those that want a Sam’s Club membership is that American Express is providing a special offer to eligible card members from October 1-31. Card Members can receive a one-time $25 statement credit after they use an enrolled, eligible American Express Card to spend $45 or more on a new Sam’s Club membership in-store.

If you wanted to buy a Sam’s Club Membership in the near term, this is a way to save $25 on that on that $45 purchase!

  1. As someone planning a trip to WDW, you should also sign up for the undercover tourist AMEX offer. $30 credit on $150 purchase. Unless we buy an annual pass, this is the only place i buy my disney/universal tickets. I was able to add the offer to all 4 of my AMEX cards. If u use seperate cards it’s an easy way to get $30 off each of your tickets. They are usually cheaper than direct through disney.

    • Agree – love Undercover Tourist – just wrote about that and other offers. Wish I had seen this before buying my Disney tickets a few days ago. Ha!

  2. There’s a similar but arguably better Sam’s offer available through October 10.

Pay $45. Get a $20 gift card for use at Sam’s. Order from your computer, pay however works for you. $145 in discount coupons for other stuff you may or may not want/buy. FWIW you may also earn points on this by clicking through via your favorite Evreward partner.

    • BTW: the offer I listed includes business membership for $45, which is open to everyone w/ or w/o a business, and has a retail cost of $100. Business membership confers access to Sam’s business-exclusive opening hours, which I’ve put to very good use.

  3. How would amex know what you purchased at SAMs? Meaning if you purchases a $45 membership vs $45 on food, would the statement not just show $45 from SAMs?
