In life, “they” say that timing is everything, and it turns out that old adage holds just as true in the miles and points world as with anything else. There are times of the year when certain deals are better than at other times of the year. If you are newer to this hobby it can be hard at first to spot these better times to act, so I want to help point out why now might be the very best time of the year to sign-up for a certain credit car
First, I’ll give a few details about the offer, and then my reasons as to why now is a good time to seriously consider pulling the trigger if you have been thinking about getting a Southwest credit card in the near future. The companion on the Companion Pass flies free on every Southwest flight you are on, whether you are booked on points or dollars – this includes to their international destinations! This is tremendous for family travel!
While I truly do think that this is a very good time of the year to apply for a Southwest card, obviously there is no one right time for everyone. Keep in mind that it is reportedly harder to get approved for Chase cards now than it might have been in the past – especially if you have applied for several new cards in the last two years. Don’t stress if now isn’t the right time for you, but if it might be, then good luck if you decide to go for it!
What is your strategy with deciding when to apply for one of the Southwest cards?
