I woke up this morning fully expecting the insane flight deals to Europe from yesterday to have dried up, but the opposite happened. They are even better. They are more widespread. They could end at any moment. I am even seeing some of these low fares in early and late summer outside of traditional school times. The best deals I am seeing right now are on Delta/KLM/Air France, but interestingly enough I am seeing them even from some Delta hubs…in addition to from dozens and dozens of other airports.
Why sure I think it is a good idea to head to cool and green Ireland for around $400 round trip a few days after school ends for the summer!
Or how about end the summer with a bang in early August by escaping to Scotland for $400 – $500ish per round trip?! Make sure you catch the Military Tattoo in Edinburgh if you do that fantastic trip in August….
Best Widespread Sale to Europe I Have Ever Seen…Since Yesterday!
I’m seeing countless cities in the US to countless cities across Europe for countless dates from about a week from now through the end of the 2017 schedule for $400 – $500 ish round trip on a variety of carriers. Some even dip down into the high $300’s per round trip. The middle of the summer is generally not available at these lowest rates, but I’ve seen most other portions of the year on sale including spring break, early summer, and late summer. Given the insane number of departure points and destinations from the $300’s – $500’s for round trip fares, I think this is the best widespread airfare sale to Europe I have ever seen…yes, even better than yesterday.
I know I sound redundant but seriously, just hope on Google Flights and put in your departure city (or others you can reasonably get to) – Europe as I did in the image above and let it do the work for you. Or, select exact cities and use the flexible date calendar to see fares. The fares below are from Dallas – seriously, it is crazy.
If you have ever wanted to jump on great airfare deals, this is your chance because the sale is accessible for so many people for such a wide time period.
Use Fixed Value Points to Book Discounted Flights to Europe
This is the time to use those fixed value points for travel if you don’t want to spend cash. If you used Ultimate Rewards from the Chase Sapphire Reserve then a $400 round trip airfare would cost you 26,667 points at 1.5 cents each booked through Chase. If you are booking with your selected airline for the year, you would spend just 20,000 points via The Enhanced Business Platinum® Card from American Express OPEN once you get 50% of them back when booked via Amex. Of course you can also use the points from your Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard® at a rate of one cent each + get 5% of them back. You would also earn miles by booking via any of those methods.
I was shocked to see these fares still around today, so don’t tempt fate and wait too long only to miss out!
