We haven’t seen a ton of new and really exciting Amex Offers in the last couple of weeks, but there is one today that is great if it happens to align with your upcoming travel spending patterns!
How Amex Offers Work:
For those not familiar, Amex Offers are available on your various American Express cards, even on cards with no annual fee such as The Amex EveryDaySM Credit Card and The Business Platinum® Card from American Express OPEN. You must load the individual offers you are interested in to your card(s) and then use that card to trigger the associated points bonus or statement credit.
Once you load the offer to your card you don’t need any coupons or codes at checkout, and you can stack the savings with any other sales or coupons you may have for your purchases with various retailers. You can add the offers to your Amex cards in your online Amex account by logging in and then scrolling down to where the offers are listed.
If you want to add an offer to more than one Amex card you need to have it loaded and ready to add to each individual Amex card in separate windows before adding it to any card or you will only be able to add it to one card. Sometimes you can also tweet a certain hashtag if you have synched your Amex for the Twitter offers. You can view some of the offers available on Twitter here.
20,000 Bonus Membership Reward Points on $1,000 in Air France Airfare
This awesome new Amex Offer awards 20,000 bonus Amex Membership Reward points on $1,000 in one or more transactions online at airfrance.us or via the Air France mobile app by 4/14/2017. This comes out to 20x bonus miles per dollar spent if you spent an even $1,000 at Air France! You don’t have to hit $1,000 in one transaction as you can have several as long as they occur by 4/14/17.
If you have The Business Platinum® Card from American Express OPEN and you redeem your Membership Reward points at a value of 2 cents each when booking eligible airfare through Amex Travel (after the 50% points rebate on your selected airline), then 20,000 Membership Reward points are worth $400! Getting $400 in points on a $1,000 purchase is pretty great…assuming some Air France purchases were in your future.
I had this offer on both of my Membership Rewards earning cards, so be sure to check your accounts and add the offer if you think you might be able to put it to good use in the coming months! In fact, I would add it to your Amex account even if you don’t know if you will use it, just in case the need or right airfare deal pops up before mid-April!
