Don’t Just Throw Away Your Hyatt Globalist Packets!

The new World of Hyatt membership cards and packets have been going out in the mail, and if you are like me and try and throw out as much mail as possible before it clutters up your counters, I want to give a word of warning. If you are a top tier Hyatt Globalist, then you want to be sure and not accidentally toss the banded together packet in the trash before actually going through it.

Inside the relatively easy to overlook packet is not only your Hyatt membership card and some information on the new program, but also the two United Club passes that Globalists receive annually. The passes are valid through June 30, 2018.

Speaking of Hyatt Globalist status, stay tuned because I will be giving away Hyatt Globalist status to one of you next week!

    • Oh my gosh – no! I knew this was a risk when looking at the packet, but I was really hoping no one had done it yet!

  1. Just tossed mine out but I did not qualify for Globalist. As a unimportant Explorerist, I’m not going to bother to retrieve it. As a matter of fact, I’ll never qualify with 55 or 60 nights with Hyatt ever again so Adios, Hyatt!!! Diamond was nice while it lasted! The World of Hyatt is a bad idea.

How many other travelers are giving Hyatt the heave ho?

  2. On a somewhat unrelated note, I previously did the Hyatt Platinum => Mlife Gold => Hyatt Explorist trick, and today I saw that it worked. My match request went through, and I am now Explorist. Thanks for the great tip!

  3. The world of Hyatt FAQ’s stated those who qualified for diamond under the old terms before the switch over march 1 2017 would be. Made globalist for all of 2017 & 2018. I split up my travel in Jan/feb and reached 25 stays by the end of feb. my last stay was completed at the end of feb but didn’t post until march 1. Hyatt made the decision to not give benefits to those whose stays/nights posted after feb. So, despite earning diamond under the old terms, they only made me globalist in name only … no suite upgrades, only 4 club upgrades, no club passes, and I assume no preferred room, resort and parking fee waiver etc.

    • Wow no the supervisor of a supervisor is saying the qualification period isn’t a calendar year but march 1 until feb 28. And stating that the faq’s were wrong and can’t be honored.
I can’t do business with liars and would rather sleep in my car. Now I need to find a charity for 600k + points and $5 k in gift cards.
