We are currently majorly tiring ourselves out, no wait, I mean making the most of every minute at Disney World. This means I haven’t been able to post as much as normal while we are here, but I am sharing clips from our Disney Days over on InstaStory. If you want to peek at what a trip with a seven and (almost) two year old to Disney World looks like in the middle of summer, come check it out before it melts away.

The pool is the safest spot from the heat!

As a quick tip, if you are ever melting in EPCOT and are anywhere near the United Kingdom portion of the World Showcase, if you head into the shop furthest back across from the Rose & Crown Dining Room there was a kid’s nook with a few stuffed and animals and actual chairs to sit in and enjoy the air conditioning. It was amazing…and Grandma got covered with stuffies there, so that is always fun.

Secret spot with a few chairs to beat the Disney heat!

Hope you are also having a Magical week, and I’d love to hear about your ‘secret’ places at Disney World to hide and escape the crowds and heat for a few minutes.

  1. Not secret of course but my all time favorite are the baby care centers, especially the nursing rooms!

  2. Haha – we just came back from a week at Universal Orlando so I feel your pain – it was massively hot and humid and only rained 1 day – I am from Houston too so know this weather but still! Walking around Epcot World Showcase in the middle of the day is brutal because it is such a far walk to get back to the front of the park, so is Magic Kingdom back by Big Thunder Mountain – we just stay away from those areas during the heat. Mainly though we cut through shops as we walk, try to walk in the shade as much as possible, see indoor shows during the main heat, and NEVER stop in the sun to look at phone, dig through backpack etc. Also get up at the crack of dawn to get to the parks early – then go back to the room and swim in the afternoon and go back in the evening :).

    • Yeah, as a former central Floridian, things like Country Bear Jamboree and the People Mover are great places to rest your feet/enjoy the AC/nap briefly.

  3. Summer,

Long time no post! My parents are actually driving to Disney World right now. My mom doesn’t fly, but awhile back, I got my dad hooked on your blog. They almost always use points breaks to stay at hotels on the way from KC to Orlando when they drive down there (they have season passes to Disney World and go multiple times a year). They will likely arrive some time tomorrow and they parkhop. They love Toy Story probably the most. It would be awesome if my dad ran into you guys! haha. I wish I was down there right now 🙁
