Awesome Boxed.com Savings Return to Amex Offers!

I know it isn’t exactly travel related, super exciting, or at all fancy, but one of my favorite rewards credit card related deals of the year so far has been an Amex Offer for Boxed.com. My household has stocked up and saved a ton on forever stamps, Outback gift cards, gatorades, stoop waffles, olive oil, cereal, and so much more thanks to stacking some Amex Offers available at Boxed.com on cards like The Amex EveryDay® Credit Card, as well as the Boxed new customer discounts, promo codes, and more. We were getting about 70% off retail on many of those items, and I was sad when the Boxed Amex Offers ended a few weeks ago.

The Blue Business℠ Plus Credit Card from American Express

However, this morning I started to see the #AmexBoxed hashtag on Twitter which could mean only one thing…there’s a new Boxed Amex Offer! This time around the Amex Offer requires a minimum of $75+ in spending to trigger a $25 Amex statement credit. That is a $10 higher spending requirement than last time around, but it is still potentially a very solid deal. I will be sure to add it to each of my eligible Amex cards so I can save on several Boxed orders placed through September 30th to get things for back to school lunches and more!

If you want to add the offer to multiple Amex cards just make sure you pull each offer all the way up in its own window on your Amex account homepage before you add it to any of your Amex card accounts. Once you do that then you can go ahead and add it to each card and it won’t disappear on you before you can hit “add to card”. I will say that due to some recent Amex website updates, once you use the offer on one card you may not see the offer display as still available to redeem on any of your cards. However, it is still viewable on the Amex app, so you can use it once on each card where you initially add it.

In my zip code both Outback and PF Changs gift cards are in stock, though I am sure that stock will dwindle with this new Amex Offer available. If you order an $85 Outback gift card that is priced at $77.99 you will then trigger the $25 statement credit via the Amex Offer for an out-of-pocket cost of $52.99 for the $85 in gift cards.

You can do better than that though as TopCashBack is currently awarding 8% cash back on Boxed orders and new customers to boxed who use a referral code to join can get $15 off their first order. Existing Boxed customers can use the promo code JUSTFORHIM to save 20% (assuming you haven’t already used that code).

If you are an existing Boxed customer who wants $85 in Outback gift cards, using the 20% off JUSTFORHIM code above drops the price to $62.39, meaning you would need about $13 in additional products (after the 20% discount) to trigger the $25 Amex statement credit. Items like dishwasher detergent, gatorades, paper towels, olive oil, etc. could help get you there.

Anyone else celebrating the return for this awesome Amex Offer?

  1. There is also an offer for 1 additional MR point for each dollar spent at Boxed on my AMEX Everyday card in addition to this new offer. Of course, the Outback gift cards available last week for my zip code have already disappeared. They never were available during the last offer.

  2. YES!! Thanks for posting, I did a ton of boxed orders on the last promo and now I am excited to make a few more! 🙂

  3. There is also an offer for 1 additional MR point per dollar spent at Boxed on my AMEX Everyday so the possibility for double stacking is there. The Outback cards that were available last week for my zip code have already disappeared so YMMV. They were never available during the last promo either.

Here’s a link for $15 off if anyone needs one.

  5. I already have done my first order with TopCashBack. Can I use ebates when ordering? The ebates box pops up. Thanks, Katie

  6. If you don’t use TopCashBack, you can get 15% cash back on the Ibotta app and if you order by 7/20/17 they have an additional $5 bonus. My order with using code HeyBoxed got me 15% off, then 15% off through Ibotta + $5 bonus + $25 AMEX credit….so I will be out of pocket $39.19 for my order totaling $91.71, that’s a savings of 58%. If you don’t have an Ibotta account, you can use my referral code and get an additional $10 credit: https://ibotta.com/r/nsmk6g

  7. Has anyone tried getting the new customer 15/60 for a second person in the same address (ie. husband refer wife to double dip)? Do they pay attention to the address and tell you there is already an account with that address or anything?
