Amex Offers are a really great way to save money or earn extra points on the purchases you make with your Amex cards. You never know when good Amex Offers will pop up on one of your Amex accounts. The only sure-fire way to know exactly what offers are available to you is to log-in to your online account and take a look (process outlined below), but to save you a little time I want to highlight a few new Amex Offers that are available on many Amex cards at Hilton and on hotels booked within Amex Travel.
How Amex Offers Work:
For those not familiar, Amex Offers are available on your various American Express cards, even those with no annual fee such as The Amex EveryDay® Credit Card and Blue Cash Everyday® Card. You must load the individual offers you are interested in to your card(s) and then use that card for the purchase to trigger the associated bonus points or statement credits.
Once you load the offer to your card you don’t typically need any coupons or codes at checkout, and you can stack the savings with any other sales or coupons you may have for your purchases with various retailers. You can add the offers to your Amex cards in your online Amex account by logging in and then scrolling down to where the offers are listed.
If you want to add an offer to more than one Amex card you need to have it loaded and ready to add to each individual Amex card in separate windows before adding it to any card. If you don’t, you will only be able to add it to one card. Due to some recent changes the offers may also not display online on the other cards once you have used it on one card, but if you use the Amex app to view your offers they are indeed still there and available on all the cards you added them to initially. Sometimes you can also tweet a certain hashtag if you have synched your Amex for the Twitter offers. You can view some of the offers available on Twitter here. The offers I share not necessarily available to every Amex card or account, so the ones you have access to may vary.
New Amex Offers:
7,500 Bonus Membership Reward Points for Single Purchase of $500+ in Prepaid Hotels via Amex Travel
Get 7,500 additional Membership Rewards points one-time by using your enrolled card to make a single purchase of $500+ for a prepaid hotel booking online at amextravel.com by 9/30/2017. Excludes Fine Hotels & Resorts bookings.
If you had this offer on your Platinum Card® from American Express and used that card to pay, that means you would also earn 5X Membership Rewards points on eligible hotels booked on amextravel.com. $500 in hotels booked via Amex Travel with a Platinum Card with this offer would net you the regular 5x points x $500 for 2,500 Membership Reward points, and then the bonus 7,500 points, for a total of 10,000 Membership Reward points for $500 in eligible hotel charges. That isn’t bad at all! Do remember that you likely will not earn points or elite status credit on hotels booked via Amex Travel, and this offer excludes the Fine Hotel and Resort Collection. One potential use for this offer could be Disney hotels available via Amex Travel.
3,500 Bonus Membership Reward Points on $300+ in US Hilton Charges
Get 3,500 additional Membership Rewards points one-time by using your enrolled card to spend a minimum of $300+ on room rate and room charges at Hilton properties by 9/30/2017. You must book directly with Hilton at Hilton properties in the US & US territories. The offer does not apply to advance purchase rates, including Advance Purchase, Save Now & Pay and non-refundable rates. Excludes gift card purchases. Reservations must be made online at Hilton.com, via the Hilton Honors App or by calling 1-800-445-8667.
Since this offer requires that you book directly with Hilton, you will still earn your regular Hilton points and elite status credit on top of the bonus Membership Reward points you can earn by paying with your registered Amex card.
Will any of these Amex Offers save your family some money this summer and beyond?
