Last year I shared the great news that the Inn at Keystone had been sold and was rebranding as a Hyatt Place Keystone and a couple of months ago we learned that the hotel was going to be a Category 4 Hyatt property and was accepting reservations for stays beginning May 1, 2018. That was all very good news, but now the news for ski-loving families gets even better!
Hyatt Place Keystone Now Opening During 2018 Ski Season!
The Hyatt Place Keystone must be progressing ahead of its timeline as it is now accepting reservations not for a May 1, 2018, opening, but for a March 1, 2018, opening! That is great because it means you can now use your Hyatt points to stay there this upcoming ski season!
Eventually, you should be able to you can use your Category 1 – 4 Hyatt certificates, 15,000 Hyatt points per night, or 7,500 points + $100 per night on a points + cash award at this property, but for now your options are either to make a cash booking or a points + cash award (both with some nasty cancellation penalties).
The standard rooms that you can book on awards are about 300 square feet and have either two queen beds or a king bed with a pull-out sleeper sofa. The hotel also has 600-square-foot suites with a private bedroom with one king bed, separate living area with a pull-out couch, and two bathrooms.
Paid ski season rates for standard rooms are currently in the $230 – $300 per night range and with summer rates starting at about $125 per night.
There is a $25 per night resort fee, but included in that is self and valet parking, Keystone perks such as the Kids Ski Free lift ticket program for stays of two nights or more, free night skiing on the day of arrival, nine free holes of golf after 4PM on the day of arrival in the summer, free summer gondola lift ticket for those 12 and under, and more. Of course, since this is a Hyatt Place, hot breakfast is free for everyone which can be so helpful on busy ski mornings.
The Hyatt Place Keystone is located just a relatively short walk to the mountain base area, there is a free shuttle to take you around the Keystone Resort area, and I officially have this property penciled in for a winter 2018 – 2019 stay. Our youngest daughter will then be 3.5 years old and ready to sign-up for their ski school program just like our first daughter did as a 3-year-old several years ago!
Anyone rearranging some plans for this upcoming ski season now that the Hyatt Place Keystone is accepting reservations for stays beginning March 1, 2018?
