A couple of weeks ago I wrote about a great opportunity to ski at Aspen Snowmass this winter for just $6.50 on December 15, 2017, to celebrate their 50th anniversary with lift ticket prices from 1967. At the time the terms seem to read that you had to have a one-night stay booked through Stay Aspen Snowmass to buy the $6.50 tickets. However, either the previous terms were just poorly worded or they changed their minds and eliminated the lodging requirement because you can now buy the $6.50 lift tickets online by themselves!

Paying $6.50 to ski for a day at Snowmass (not valid at the other mountains in the Aspen family) on December 15th instead of paying $155 the following day is truly an outstanding deal, even if the snow turns out to not be fantastic that early in the season.

If I could easily just hop over to Snowmass for the day for $6.50 then I totally would. I hope some of you can get in on this opportunity! I really enjoyed skiing at Snowmass a few years ago and found it to be a fun mountain for a family day of skiing!

  1. *cries* i’d loooooove to visit Snowmass (haven’t had chance to visit Aspen/Snowmass) but can’t get the flights to work out

the best deal is skiing 3 days … $6.50 for the friday then a 2-day early season pass for $101/day around it … averaging out $70/day

  2. Hmm i just booked my flights to fly out to Denver on the 15th. Now thinking of changing that to the 14th and taking kids out of school a day early….
