Great news for MLB fans who have a team heading into the postseason as the SPG Moments program now has postseason MLB ticket packages available using your SPG points all the way from the Wild Card Games to the League Championship games. The World Series packages aren’t yet live, but they will eventually have those, too.

Note that most of these offerings are fixed price packages for a pair of tickets, while a few VIP experiences are auctions. Also note that while a few of the teams/locations have been determined, many of them have not yet been decided, so be careful before you purchase a package if you are hoping to see a specific team in a specific location.

There are many packages to the various League Division Series games priced at 35,000 points per pair of tickets. Go Astros!!

There are many packages to the various League Championship Series games priced at 45,000 points per pair of tickets, though of course it is not yet known who will be playing in these games.

There are VIP access auctions that include a pair of game tickets as well as special access to activities such as batting practice and post-game press conferences.

You can check the current standings, and I have summarized the current postseason summary from that link below.

CLE: Clinched AL Central, ALDS home field
HOU: Clinched AL West
WSH: Clinched NL East, NLDS home field
LAD: Clinched NL West, NLDS home field
BOS: Clinched postseason berth
NYY: Clinched postseason berth
ARI: Clinched top NL Wild Card; will host

SPG members may only bid on and win up to as many packages as the individual event states on the event description and up to five total packages per year. If no redemption rule is explicitly stated, then members may only bid on and win up to two packages for each unique event and up to five total packages per year.

We went to a Houston Astros American League Divisional Series game a couple years ago when they had an epic collapse to the Kansas City Royals, so I would love to see another Astros Divisional Series game with a different ending! At that game, I had a three-month-old baby and we used SPG points basically for a parking spot and a place to nap/change diapers at the adjacent Westin, which was really pretty awesome.

There are only around 12 – 14 packages available for the games I checked, so these will sell out pretty quickly. Are any of the postseason MLB games on your family’s radar this year?

    • Well, the only “good” news is that I left early with the baby so that we wouldn’t have any trouble getting out of that part of town so when I left we were winning. So, I saw a win. The epic collapse happened after I left. And congrats on getting tickets – I’m jealous!

  1. Is the picture from the Wild Card game you attended? Trying to get some idea of where the seats are to figure out how many SPG points I want to bid with for a World Series trip!! Go ‘Stros!!

    • We didn’t use SPG Moments for our tickets, but historically SPG Moment tickets are very good. That said, the World Series packages specifically say tickets could be anywhere including 500 sections or outfield.
