When airfare to Hawaii drops under $500 for a round trip from pretty much anywhere in Texas, I start dreaming of perfect weather, gorgeous sunsets, sand at my feet, amazing food, and all things Hawaii.
If you do the same, then know that right now you can snag flights from Dallas to Maui on United for about $450 round trip on various dates in January through early March 2018. I like to use the Google Flights flexible date search to quickly spot the cheapest dates to fly. You can then book directly with United or a site like Skyscanner.
Flights in the $400 – $450-ish range are about as low as things get from Texas to Hawaii, so now is a great time to lock in some beachside whale watching fun for early next year if you want to earn miles on your trip. If you do head to Maui, here are my thoughts on using points to stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui vs. the Andaz Maui.
