Everybody needs shoes, right? I swear my toddler’s feet grow about an inch a month, so I know she always needs new shoes. As for me, my foot stopped growing long ago, but I still find
excuses reasons for new shoes as well! If you fall into either the need or want new shoes categoy, it is worth checking out the 20x Ultimate Rewards one-day points bonanza at shoes.com.
To make it even better, there are some coupon codes listed on the Ultimate Rewards site that should be eligible to be used in conjunction with the points deal. Two examples are 15OFF for 15% of your order and FALL2011 that will get you 10% off your order and free shipping. I did a few test items and it seems that shipping was free already with all of the items I selected, so your best bet is probably the 15OFF coupon. I find shoes.com prices to be a bit on the high-side without coupons, but with this code the prices seem to come down to what is comparable to most other sites (at least for the shoes I shop for). If you don’t need shoes right now, they do sell socks, belts, bags, and other accessories as well.
I’m not sure if I am going to buy shoes today or not, but I love the idea of spending $50 on shoes and socks for Little C and coming out with over 1,100 valuable Ultimate Reward points for a purchase I was going to make anyway!
As is usual for this type of deal, you need to shop via the Ultimate Rewards shopping portal to take advantage of this increased points earnings. Both the Chase Sapphire® Preferred Card and Ink Bold(SM) with Ultimate Rewards give you access to this portal. In case you are unfamiliar with Ultimate Reward points, they can be transferred 1:1 to Continental/United, Hyatt, Marriott, British Airways, and more. You can also use them “as cash” to pay for travel or everyday expenses. Since I have been getting questions about how Ultimate Rewards works, I will devote an entire post to Ultimate Rewards soon. If you need any questions answered in the meantime, just ask. Time to start some shoe browsing………
