Happy 4th of July!  My family is a little…..patriotic.  This is my parents house last year.  This year they added a few additional flags!  This was also the one and only time we gave Little C bangs – it didn’t work out well.  They decorate for everything, including our nation’s birthday.  We have lots of little flags lining our sidewalk, as well as one regular-sized flag on our house.  Compared to them we are clearly under-prepared for the 4th.

However, we did manage to celebrate the 4th of July while earning 10x points.  Our American flag was looking a little more pink, white, and baby blue than red, white, and blue due to some fading, so we went through the Ultimate Rewards portal to Lowes.com.  Right now Lowes.com has 10x points through the UR portal, so we ordered a new flag online, and are going to pick it up in the store with no shipping charges. You can read more about that 10x bonus as well as other bonuses currently available through the Ultimate Rewards portal.  So whether you need a new flag, a new grill, or anything else right now, just make sure you are maximizing your points while purchasing what your family needs.

Happy points and Happy 4th!  Time to head to the parade with my red, white, and blue toddler!

  1. 10x at Lowes! One of the better promos to come along. (at least for me)

    It’s all in the timing…
My washer and dryer are on their last legs. What better time then now to replace them. On top of that, Lowes is having a 10% off sale so not only do I earn a bunch of points (almost 20,000) but I’m saving a bunch too. And and pile on a 10% off “movers” coupon and all is right with the points world!
