Thank You. (And Giveaways Galore)

Happy Thanksgiving!  This is a very popular holiday in my family not just because the food is freaking amazing, but because it is a day of giving thanks without any other hoopla.  Christmas is fantastic, but it does get a little chaotic with the mountains of presents, Santa, etc.  Thanksgiving is a bit more pure as it is just about being together and giving thanks.

So, today I not only give thanks to my family (as we devour the turkey and dressing), but also to all of you.  I thank you for making this site a part of your internet routine.  This blog started purely as a very small hobby.  I didn’t even know that blogs could be a “business” (I was extremely naive).  I started this site to help my friends and family members learn how to travel (almost) for free like we were doing.  That remains the goal, but I am very thankful that my “friends” who take the time to read the site now include many virtual friends from all over the world.  That is something my family and I will never take for granted.  From us, to you, a sincere thank you.

To give a more tangible “thank you”, I want to do several giveaways today that have been stockpiling around here.  Not all of the items will be of interest to everyone, so I am going to have each of them in a separate post so that you can just enter to win what interests you.  Feel free to enter as many of them as you want.  I just want to make sure that the folks who win the items will put them to good use!

The first item I think will interest pretty much everyone, and the others will be of interest to some, and not to others. Without further ado, here are my Thanksgiving Giveaways Galore.  Make sure to click on each one to enter on the different posts.  Entries on this post do not count.

A Free Night at Any Hyatt World Wide Hyatt provided me with 22,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points to keep or giveaway due to my help in judging their recent “Imagine the Possibilities” contest.  I value giving the points away more than keeping them, so 22,000 points are up for grabs.  That is enough for a free night at any Hyatt around the world (or up to four nights in a lower tier Hyatt hotel).

Star MegaDo 4 Swag: I collected some swag that I want to share on my recent Star MegaDo 4 adventure.  The swag includes MegaDo t-shirts, United duffel bag, United passport holder, and more!

Four Free GoGo Internet Passes: A reader recently sent me four unused GoGo inflight internet passes that expire at the end of the year.  They aren’t going to be able to use them in time, so they need to be “re-homed” to someone who can put them to good use.

I also have a $50 Services Voucher from Cathay Pacific that a reader gave me to share.  The expiration date is 5/1/2013.  If you can put this to good use, then let me know via Twitter @Mommy_Points, and the first person to tell me they want it will get it.  I will update here when it is gone. Update – this has now been spoken for.  😉

If any of those giveaways interest you, then good luck!  Enjoy your turkey, the parade, football, and scoring some awesome Black Friday deals!  Again, thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. We are planning a travel tour to highlight wheelchair accessible travel around the globe. Please consider giving me points as an investment in opening travel opportunities for travelers with disabilities who need more info to be successful travelers.
