I really like the Club Carlson program and think that there are some high value redemptions options – especially in some major European cities. Many of us have a fair stash of Club Carlson points thanks to the co-branded credit card and previous lucrative promotions where you could get up to 50,000 points for a cheap one-night hotel stay. However, we can’t assume those promos will return, so I would not compare buying the points at this price to how inexpensively you could obtain them during the previous promos.
If you have the co-branded credit card, and as a result can get the second award night free, then you can get two nights at top end hotels in Europe like the Radisson Blu Ambassador Hotel, Paris Opera for basically $87 per night all-in via this deal. That is a very good deal if you know that is how you plan to redeem your points. Personally I am sitting on more Club Carlson points than I have an immediate plan for, so even though this deal is good, I am sitting out for fear of a devaluation before I can use the points I already have.
Club Carlson Gold points do not expire as long as your account remains active by earning or redeeming within a 24 month period.
These deals go on sale Wednesday at 1PM Eastern on the Daily Getaways website. Will you be trying you luck and going for some Club Carlson points?
