Update on 3,500 FlexPerks Neiman Marcus Promo

I know many of us (myself included) participated in the recent FlexPerks promo that awarded 3,500 FlexPerks (worth up to $70 toward airfare) after spending $50 on your U.S. Bank FlexPerks Visa at Neiman Marcus on by May 19th.  I also know that many of us (again myself included) can be procrastinators that wait until the end of the promo to act.  In this case that meant that purchases made toward the end of the promo actually didn’t ship and/or get charged by Neiman Marcus onto the FlexPerks card until after the May 19th deadline.

I think I made my purchase on the May 19th deadline and it was actually charged to the card two or three days later.  Luckily I had bought things that we needed anyway, so it was no real loss if I didn’t get the bonus points, but I certainly wasn’t going to go down without trying for the points.  I sent a secure message from my US Bank FlexPerks account politely explaining the situation, and within a day or so received the following reply:

Good morning and thank you for contacting U.S. Bancorp Service Center, Inc. via our Website.

We certainly understand your concern regarding your purchase with Neiman Marcus, Summer, and we are happy to assist you. We are aware of the issue with the delay in the Neiman Marcus transaction posting to your account. However, the transaction will be honored and you will receive the bonus points within eight weeks of the transaction.

Please contact us again, Summer, if we can be of further assistance.

They both know about the delay and planned to honor the transaction – hurray!  We aren’t yet at the eight week mark, and won’t for several more weeks, but I have no doubt that I will get the bonus points in the end.  I don’t have that much experience dealing with the customer service side of US Bank, but so far so good for me.

Has anyone else received their bonus points yet?

  1. I experienced the same issue on both me and my wife’s points. My wife’s points just posted a few days ago when her cycle ended June 25. My June 18 cycle end did NOT have the points. I’ll wait until my July cycle ends to see if my points post.

  2. No Flexperks for the purchase yet. Thanks for the reminder – had forgot about the bonus miles due. BTW, what did LC and y’all end up doing on the Isla Pollo trip?

  3. Good luck. I am still going back and forth with them to get the 2nd half of the Olympic promo (17500) to post from August of last year due to the same type of issue.

  4. Thanks for the update, that’s very reassuring. I was going to send them the same question but now I’ll just wait a few more weeks before I worry about it.

  5. Wow, I bought my stuff the 15th and it didn’t post until the 20th. I was concerned that the promo wasn’t showing up in my “past promos” (or anywhere for that matter). So, I emailed them. I got a nice email back, that told me not to worry, but wasn’t quite as explicitly reassuring as the one they sent you. So, I’m cautiously optimistic, but ready to contact them again if it doesn’t post on my july statement.
US Bank has been my bank for most of my adult years, and I’ve always been pretty happy with their customer service.

  6. I made a purchase in-store well before the cutoff date of the promotion, but have not seen the points post to the account. Not too worried seeing these posts, and hope they will post soon 🙂

  7. Thanks for posting this! I also made my purchase at the last minute and the transaction did not post until a few days later. After reading this post, I messaged them and got this response:

Good morning and thank you for contacting U.S. Bancorp Service Center, Inc. via our Website.

We understand your concern regarding the Neiman Marcus promotion. Our records confirm your received the bonus points which will post on your next statement.

Please contact us again, Abby, if we can be of further assistance.
