Here are your mid-week miles and points updates in 60 seconds or less:

  • Hyatt has announced another 48 hour sale that ends tonight Update: The promo page is now saying it ended even though terms said it would go until 11:59PM tonight.  Those who need a few extra stays to re-qualify for Diamond status should pay attention to this sale as the dates line up with the current Possibilities promo.  This means you can potentially leverage lower rates and bonus points for your mattress runs.  As always, these rates are non-refundable so plan carefully.  Use code C48SEP today for stays from 29 Sep 2013 – 07 Jan 2013.  Discount and date participation varies by hotel.
  • Hyatt is participating in several events on Twitter tomorrow (September 26th) with some free nights and prizes on the line.  They are advertizing this as the World’s Largest Focus Group (#HyattWLFG).  The four twitter chats start at 5:00AM tomorrow on the 26th, so just follow @HyattPR to stay in the loop on these events and try your luck at winning something for your participation!
  • Chase is sponsoring a hospitality lounge at the upcoming Epcot Food and Wine for Chase debit and credit cardholders.  Chase cardholders will have exclusive access to the Chase Lounge which will be located on the third floor of the American Adventure Pavilion within the Epcot World Showcase.  It will feature a space to relax, complimentary beverages, electronic charging stations, and other amenities exclusively for Chase customers.  I visited a similar exclusive Chase lounge last year at the London Olympics and at the Houston Galleria during the holiday shopping season.  While the location is different this year, here is a post from Touring Plans about the Chase lounge last year.  The Epcot food and wine festival runs from September 27 – November 11, 2013.
  • Get admission to participating museums across the country for free on Saturday September 28th. You can search here for participating museums in your area.  Be aware that some on the list don’t charge mandatory admission anyway, though many do.

  1. The kiddies and I will be sure to check out the Chase lounge at Epcot this Friday. I love that it’s located directly in the center of the world showcase…perfect time for a refreshment stop.

  2. My understanding, at least last year, is that the Chase Lounge is for Chase Disney Visa cardholders only, and that folks who have only Sapphire or Ink cards are not eligible. Is that the same this year?

  3. Jacki, awesome have a great time! I’m a tad jealous. Would love to hear how the lounge is if you have the time.
Maria, I can’t speak from memory about last year, but I can tell you that the email I received from the Chase Communications department said “…will offer Chase debit and credit cardholders, including Disney Visa® Cardmembers, exclusive access to the Chase Lounge at the Festival.” So, I think at least this year you are good to go even if your Chase card is not a Disney Chase card.
Jeffrey, hmmm. It says through 11:59PM tonight on the site I linked to.

  4. even though it says expired, do a hotel search using the code. Last time I did that I still was able to find rooms using the code. i think it may be a website glitch when it says the offer has expired. Try anyway. Maybe something you want will come up.

  5. This Hyatt sale is WHACKY… I don’t get it… they have a sale, but they don’t provide a list of properties that are on sale. That’s like a grocery store having a “30% sale” but they don’t tell you what is on sale inside the store… so I have to waste my time checking the price on the eggs, cereal, pasta, soup, and checking hundreds of products, etc… until I find out WHAT is on sale in the store. They ought to rename this the “hunt for the 30% sale”… waste of time for me and frustrating. Seems counter productive. ALSO, it doesn’t say what time zone it ends 11:59 pm “is only valid through 11:59 PM Wednesday, September 25, 2013” . This is totally lame and unacceptable for a company with such a sophisticated marketing team. Come on Hyatt, you can do better!
