I wrote about how much I like Hertz points earlier this week, but mentioned in the post that it is been pretty hard recently to earn Hertz points, in part due to few promotions.  Today it seems there is a new Hertz promotion that should help get some balances back up a bit.  You can earn triple Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points on qualifying rentals February 1–April 15, 2014.

You must be a Hertz Gold Plus Rewards member and a resident of the U.S. or Canada to earn triple bonus points. Member must select to receive Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points in member’s profile and on reservation and registration is required at

Hertz Triple PointsOnly rentals made after the date of registration will qualify for the promotion and only your base rental points and President’s Circle (25%) or Five Star (10%) bonus will be tripled. Valid on minimum two-day paid rentals picked up beginning February 1, 2014 through April 15, 2014 at participating Hertz locations in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, U.S.V.I., United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand only.

Gold Plus Rewards Enhancements:

Also announced today were some enhancements to the Gold Plus Rewards program that include lowering the threshold to attain elite status to 7 rentals for Five Star status and 20 rentals for President’s Circle status within a calendar year.  You will also now be able to earn points on add-ons like car seats or NeverLost.  Hertz devalued their awards a few months ago, so they got that part out of the way ahead of these changes.

Thanks to Loyalty Lobby for sharing news of this Triple Points promotion!
