I got an email this evening with an official end date for the temporarily increased sign-up offers on the Chase Ink cards…June 1st!  This isn’t too surprising as the rumored date was around that time frame, but it’s good to know officially.  That means they will have had the increased offer around for one month, which is better than the one week they lasted last year!  Both the Ink Bold and Ink Plus have increased from 50,000 to 60,000 points after you spend $5,000 in the first three months.  The Ink Cash has increased to a $300 bonus after you spend $3,000 in the first three months.

I love the Ink Bold and Plus cards as they pay out 5x per $1 on the first $50,000 spent annually at office supply stores, and on cellular phone, landline, internet, and cable TV services and they earn Ultimate Reward points that can transfer to some of my favorite programs such as United, Hyatt, British Airways, and many more.  60,000 points is a really substantial sign-up bonus and here is a post on a few of the things you can do with 60,000 points.  You may be surprised at how far they can take you and your family!

Both my husband and my dad were approved for the Ink Plus recently for their small businesses (and it was the first business card for both of them).  I hope many of you are able to get in on these great cards before the June 1 deadline, too!

  1. I don’t have any of these yet. I’d like to apply for 1 (or more). Which one is the best and should be the one I go for? Can you apply for more than one? If so, which 2 are the best? How would you compare these to the CSP (I’ve been thinking about that one too). I only have the Chase Hyatt card, but nothing else with Chase. Currently no balance on that card. Thanks!

    • Eric, you can get more than one though getting more than one at once would have mixed results. Personally I’d start with the Plus just because it gives the ability to pay over time if you need it. Other than that, the Plus or Bold are roughly the same. I’d get the Cash only after having the other two personally. Good luck!

  2. Thanks Summer. Do you think these are better than the Chase Sapphire Preferred? I don’t have that one either.

    • Eric, they are just different. Hard to say if one is better overall since one is a small biz card and one isn’t. I earn more rewards with the Ink Plus than the CSP but I have both.
