Some of my favorite uses of points in the last few years weren’t actually on a hotel or airline awards, but rather for a unique experience via SPG Moments and similar programs.  For example, a few years ago for my husband’s birthday we watched a Chicago Cub’s game at Wrigley Field in the SPG Luxury Box for just 7,500 total SPG points!

The points prices have gone up a little since then, but the opportunities via SPG Moments remain pretty much the same.  If you want to go to a game at Wrigley Field in a luxury box on SPG points, or give your kid’s some on-field time at Wrigley before the first pitch, then go check out some of the new SPG Moments opportunities before the sell out!  These are not auctions, but rather fixed price items you can buy with your SPG points.

There are many games still to choose from throughout the season, but some have sold out, so don’t wait if you want in on this!

If you don’t have a stash of SPG points to spend on things like this, then I’d consider adding the Starwood Preferred Guest Amex to your wallet when the time is right so you can not only have some SPG hotel award stays, but be ready in case a SPG Moments opportunity pops up that looks perfect for your family!

    • Brian, I know! There were certainly kids there when I went a couple years ago, but I’m sure they don’t want a “non luxury” experience for the others in the suite. 😉

  1. I didn’t catch the Master Pass ‘Eat with a old timer Cub’ @$100 It include a two hour dinner and then a ticket to the opening day game against the Redbirds. Even for the cheapie tixes at Wrigley, the fees and taxes amount double the price. Going to a White Sox home game is a little cheaper.

  2. Do you know if you can purchase more than one package. Would love to treat some friends. Looking at the website it only allowed me to purchase one.

    • Henry, I did a couple tests and it let me select two packages each time and the max quantity available for both the tests I did was two, so you can certainly get more than one (if more than one is left).

  3. Actually i was just looking at these few days ago. Are food and beverages any good in luxury suite? couldn’t find any reports.

    • Rick, I have a report linked in this post that should help. From what I remember the food was totally fine – ball park food. The dessert cart was really good!
