Today there are some new increased airline shopping portal payouts that I wanted to share in case you are in the market for summer clothes, Mother’s Day gifts, or stuff for the house.  Remember that you will almost always come out on the losing end if you buy more than you otherwise would just because there are bonus miles attached, but if you were going to make a purchase anyway this can be a great way to leverage that spending by earning 15x airline miles per dollar or more.

Also remember that sometimes you can “double dip” and either buy a gift card through the portal to earn bonus points and then use it through the portal to earn bonus points again.  This does not work with all retailers, but check out Frequent Miler’s Lab to see some success stories.  You can also consider buying a gift card in a grocery store, office supply store, etc. with a credit card that pays out a bonus at that type of retailer and then use it through the portal for more points!
