We wanted to take a moment this afternoon to briefly introduce the newest (slightly delayed) arrival to our family!

Baby S!

Baby S!

Yesterday evening we were thrilled to finally meet Baby S!  She weighed in at 8 lbs 7 ounces and has been doing great getting used to life on this big planet of ours.  For the record, Big Sister C is also pretty thrilled about about having her new little sister join our crazy crew.

While I absolutely do plan to keep/resume regular posting in the very near future, her delivery did have some unexpected “surprises” in store for us including an unplanned C-section, so apologies in advance if I’m a little slower with a few things while we adjust to our new life as a family of four.

After a little extra recovery, we will start building a new set of adventures together, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with all of you!

  4. Congratulations and best of luck. As if pregnancy wasn’t hard enough, C section with it would be like flying to Asia from USA on Spirit in coach (not those big seats in front 🙂

  5. Congratulations to the whole family – we welcomed a Baby Girl S just a month ago – so eager to use your family travel advice!

  6. CONGRATS! You said she was slightly delayed. Were you compensated for that (LOL). Trust me, I tried to resist. As long as both are healthy, that’s the bottom line.

  7. Congrats!!!! All the best for you and your family. Enjoy every moment. You now know how fast they grow up.

  8. Happy big sisterhood to Little C! Bet she’ll have sage travel advice for Baby S. And best wishes & good health to all.

  9. Congratulations Summer! She is gorgeous and you look terrific already. Blessings to you and your family. I’m looking forward to seeing how you update the banner for the site. Maybe a cute little two-seater piloted by big sis?

  10. Congratulations !! Speaking from the grandpa perspective enjoying THREE marvelous granddaughters, they are absolutely the best. Of course it helps that I have the cutest, prettiest and smartest granddaughters in the whole world.

A little advice from an old grandpop: Take it easy and stay alert. With C-sections infection is a very real and very serious possibility. Stay alert to what your body tells you, and get the help you need. It’s easy to over do it with a new one, but with a C-section it’s even easier.

Get back to blogging and other work only when you’re really ready. Watch yourself and stay safe.

    Best wishes.

  11. Awe! She’s a cutie and you look great! Congratulations to your family, enjoy her and take of yourself. 🙂

  12. Aww…she is gorgeous! Big congratulations to all of you! As the proud mommy of a beautiful daughter and two equally beautiful and wonderful granddaughters, I am so excited for you and your family.
Best wishes for an uncomplicated and speedy recovery.

  14. Congratulations to the entire family. Glad the little one is healthy. Our son came by emergency c-section at 27 weeks and then 2 1/2 months in the NICU. So we know about stressful births. But glad things are well. Take a few days off from blogging and we’ll look forward to hearing from you soon.

Nothing else is as important anymore

  16. Heartfelt congrats on your beautiful new daughter! She is so precious! Please be gentle with yourselves……going from one to two was a huge life change for us personally and threw us for a loop for a bit. Yet, the biggest gift we have ever given our daughters is each other, your heart will continue to soar through the years as you witness the love between your two, there is nothing like it! CONGRATS and many blessings!

  18. Congratulations on the birth of the newest Points Sister! Take it easy, we understand that your recovery and your kids are going to take up most of your time and energy for a while.

  19. It is hard to not keep repeating whatever else has said so I looked up Synonyms for congratulations:
    noun complimentation on achievement, luck
compliments felicitations greetings hail best wishes give a ‘hear-hear’ good going good wishes

    Two girls is the best!!

  20. Just another congrats to the many congrats but I must also congrats to you personally. So congrats to your new addition, Baby S. Hope you have a speedy recovery!

  21. Thank you all so much for your nice words and support! I look forward to finding a “new normal” and appreciate all the understanding for some inevitable grammar errors and a somewhat modified posting schedule until things get back on track around here.

PS, Baby S just joined her first frequent flyer program!
