How Amex Will Save Me Another $50 This Month!

There are some expenses that are just unavoidable in daily family life.  For us, baby supplies and groceries are two big expense categories that we can’t get out of no matter what we do.  With all my current food restrictions, somewhat specialized groceries are now an even higher expense than before since I have become firmly engrained in the Whole Foods shopping experience that thankfully exists in our area.

This is money I’m going to be spending no matter what, but that means that I maximize it at 5x points earning when I can, and take advantage of discount opportunities as they become available.  Today I saw that Amex has rolled out some new Amex Offers that will save me another $50 this month on top of the literally hundreds they have already saved me this year.

All of my personal Amex accounts had an offer for a $10 statement credit when I spend $60 or more at Whole Foods by 1/31/16.  I registered for this offer on my three personal accounts and I will no doubt use all $30 worth of that discount this month alone (remember to pull up the offer in multiple browsers on each card before registering it to any of your accounts).  That is $30 saved just by taking advantage of this deal – and keep in mind that Amex has plenty of annual fee free cards like The Amex EveryDay® Credit Card so you can get savings like this without even dealing with an annual fee!

Amex Offer Whole Foods

Another offer I know we will use that just appeared is a $10 statement credit with $50 spent at Diapers.com. We used to go through these credits easily thanks to our dog food orders from sister site Wag.com since their whole family of sites counts towards the statement credit, but since we sadly don’t have that need right now we may not get around to using the offer on all three of my personal cards before 12/31/15. I would bet we will use at least two of them since I have some baby supplies I need to order from that site in the near future and that will bring us to about $50 saved this month thanks to Amex Offers!

Also remember to check your account for other offers like this one that will save you on your cell phone bills this winter!

Of course also remember to go through a shopping portal when making a diapers.com or similar online purchases to earn toward 6,000 bonus United miles or 5,000 bonus American miles!

How much have Amex Offers saved you this year?

    • Not much since what I buy is pricey everywhere and I’d have to go to multiple stores to hunt down what I need if I weren’t at a somewhat specialized store. Once you have to hunt down a very narrow range of items thanks to food restrictions you aren’t shopping the cheap end of the aisle anywhere. Still, the point with all of these deals is to save on what you are already doing, not to try and change your shopping patterns.

  1. How did you get the Whole Foods offers in more than 1 Amex card? Once I added to my SPG Amex it disappeared from the other ones as an offer I could add.

    • I have each eligible card pulled up in its own window with the offer screen loaded then click each one right after each other. If you try adding it one at a time and then reloading the next card then it will disappear from the subsequent cards as an option for registration.

  2. Two ways to do this.
Open the offers page on your first card.
Open a second browser tab (or better yet a second browser program) with your other card.

    Click each offer.

    Second way:
Register each card on a separate login.

    • @askmrlee: Tks. The browse one makes sense but not sure how to register each card under a different login. Once I log in my Amex account all my cards are displayed there under the same account

      • It’s okay if they are all on the same account (so are mine) just load your account in multiple browsing windows at the same time. I can try to write a post on this in the near future if that is still confusing.
