If you are looking to add a trip to Europe to your itinerary, today is a good day to do some airfare shopping as per The Flight Deal prices to Europe are around $500 RT to/from many US cities.

Cheap Europe.jpgThe easiest way to quickly spot some good deals is to head to Google Flights and put in your departure city and then a general destination like “Europe” with as specific or flexible of a date range as you can offer. The best prices seem to be for travel through early May and then starting again late August – October (you know, not when the kids are out of school).

For example, I put Houston – Europe for one week in May via the steps shown below and it came back with a variety of options including round trip flights to Dublin from just $579 round trip and Stockholm from $612, both of which are well below average.

These flights aren’t just on “low cost carriers”, but on major carriers like United, Air Canada, and more!

The Flight Deal indicates the below cities are available as discounted destinations, but since this seems to be a pretty wide sale, check your specific area to see what might be offered.

  • Dublin [DUB]
  • Shannon [SNN]
  • Madrid [MAD]
  • Barcelona [BCN]
  • Lisbon [LIS]
  • Prague [PRG]
  • Budapest [BUD]
  • Athens [ATH]

These discounted flights are bookable on Orbitz or the flight booking site of your choice, and remember you can pay with a favorite card and then redeem points to offset some or all of the charge to take advantage of low fares and using points!

  1. Did you try looking for low fares to Europe?

I saw TheFlightDeal Delta post from yesterday after writing about low $494 fare from LAX to Dublin.

I did not find any other low fares to Europe with Delta or United this morning besides Dublin and the normal low fares to Scandinavia.

    • Ric, yes I tried this morning minutes before writing the post and the examples I used were all from around 9AM Central today. Maybe the sale wasn’t as widespread by then, but I was still seeing some fares that were lower than normal from here at least.
