Save 30 Percent on Some Singapore Airlines Award Flights

If you book award flights online using your Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles by November 16, 2016, you can save 30% (instead of the usual 15% online booking discount) for select Singapore Airlines or SilkAir operated flights for travel between February 6 – May 31, 2017.

As an example, instead of the listed price of 37,500 miles Singapore wants to fly you all the way from Houston – Singapore (connecting in Manchester) in economy, you can do it for just 26,500 miles + $243 in taxes/fees via this promo. That is a lot of flying for that award price! Note that the discounted award price does not display until you select the flight in the booking summary as shown below.

Even if you don’t have lots of KrisFlyer miles in your account, remember that you can transfer points into the KrisFlyer program from American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou Rewards, and from SPG. Note that the Singapore operated flights from the US – Europe are not included in this promo, and the promo only applies to economy and premium economy seats.

You can check out the full details of the promotion here.

  1. Isn’t a one way ticket from IAH to SIN during that time period around $410? Wouldn’t that mean the miles redemption would value the miles at less than $0.01? Doesn’t seem like a good deal

  2. It’s a shame it doesn’t work on flights that end in the middle of one of the select routes (i.e. LAX to NRT on the LAX to SIN route). It gives the 30% discount on the full route, but only the standard 15% discount LAX to NRT.
