Right now you can get 15% of your redeemed JetBlue TrueBlue points back via a new ‘giving back Thanksgiving’ type promotion if you book between now and November 14, 2016 for JetBlue award travel from November 10, 2016 – January 14, 2017. There are no blackout dates during this promotion, though you must register in order to get 15% of your points back about 4-6 weeks after January 14, 2017.

This promotion will add stack with the ongoing perk available to those with The JetBlue Plus Card that awards 10% of your redeemed points back for a combined total of 25% of your redeemed JetBlue back on eligible awards.

Remember that you can transfer points into the JetBlue program from Membership Rewards as well as the Citi ThankYou Rewards program as outlined in this post.

How to take advantage of the JetBlue 15% of redeemed points returned promo:

  • Register for the promotion
  • Book between now and November 14, 2016.  Only new award bookings are eligible.
  • Fly your award flights between November 10 – January 14, 2017.
  • The points will be re-deposited to the account used to book eligible travel approximately 4-6 weeks after January 14, 2017.

I have seen JetBlue points worth at least as many as 2.6 cents each even without this promo, though the common value is more often in the range of 1.2 – 1.8 cents each. Assuming an average value of 1.6 cents each without any promos, that could be increased to as high as 2 cents each with both the 15% promo as well as the usual 10% award that comes with The JetBlue Plus Card which is quite good when compared to traditional airline programs.
