Kimpton Hotels may have been acquired by IHG but they are still just as cool as ever, and I really wish I stayed more regularly in their properties such as their new hotel in Grand Cayman or the Sky Hotel in Aspen. The Kimpton properties that I have stayed at are cool, modern (yet still sometimes historic), and just plain sexy. Not only are their properties cool, but their promotions are pretty fun, too. Promotions like their “secret password”….

New Kimpton Secret Password

Since they are such a cool hotel program, they even sometimes have a secret password that unlocks freebies if you know the magic words. If you say the current Kimpton secret password at check-in you get surprise goodies.

It has been a little while since there has been a Kimpton Secret Password in action, but it has just returned in time for the holidays and the magic words are “Feeling Toasty”!

Utter those magic words at check-in at a Kimpton property through 2/24/17 and you will get a surprise from the hotel that can range from free parking, cookies or snacks, a free movie, free drinks, food/beverage credit, or even a suite upgrade if you are super duper lucky. As a recent example, sunshineonleath on Flyertalk just used “feeling toasty” at the Hotel Monaco in Alexandria (which I can vouch for being awesome) and got a $50 credit.

Of course there is no guarantee that you will love what the hotel gives you, but it is a freebie just for saying a “secret phrase”, so you can’t really go wrong with trying it out and keeping your expectations low.

Let me know what what freebies you unlock if you are lucky enough to have a Kimpton stay in the next couple of months!

  1. Secret password at the Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia got me a upgrade to a Suite, granted the hotel was empty as it was Christmas Eve, but it was still awesome
