Amex Offers are a really great way to save money or earn extra points on purchases you make with your Amex cards. You never know when good Amex Offers will pop up on one of your Amex card accounts. The only sure-fire way to know exactly what offers are available to you is to log-in to your online account and take a look (process outlined below), but to save you a little time I want to highlight two new Amex Offers that are available on many Amex cards at Best Western and the Caesars family of hotels in Las Vegas.

How Amex Offers Work:

For those not familiar, Amex Offers are available on your various American Express cards, even those with no annual fee such as The Amex EveryDay® Credit Card from American Express and Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express. You must load the individual offers you are interested in to your card(s) and then use that card for the purchase to trigger the associated bonus points or statement credits.

Once you load the offer to your card you don’t typically need any coupons or codes at checkout, and you can stack the savings with any other sales or coupons you may have for your purchases with various retailers. You can add the offers to your Amex cards in your online Amex account by logging in and then scrolling down to where the offers are listed.

If you want to add an offer to more than one Amex card you need to have it loaded and ready to add to each individual Amex card in separate windows before adding it to any card. If you don’t, you will only be able to add it to one card. Sometimes you can also tweet a certain hashtag if you have synched your Amex for the Twitter offers. You can view some of the offers available on Twitter here. The offers I share not necessarily available to every Amex card or account, so the ones you have access to may vary.

  1. anyone getting that bestwestern rewards on a their amex spg card? actually staying at a BW this weekend…extra points would be nice!

  2. I received $200 back on my AMEX HH Surpass back in Feb for a stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay (previously Aston). The hotel has (quite surprisingly!) been built on a sacred Hawaiian place where the Wailua River starts from the ocean. Lots of history to view & explore along the perimeter of the property along with its own semi-private stretch of good beach & calm water for the kiddos. Close also to several good luaus in the area & one of the larger towns on the island, Kapaa, with lots of services.

This Hilton GI offers value-priced (approx $300/nt or Premium Room Awards) stand-alone 2-room
completely-renovated cottages nearest the water which were perfect for our family. The cottages are a short walk to both the beach & one of the pools. This property was a very nice surprise & also super close to the Lihue airport if arriving from the mainland.

I also received AMEX $ back off a stay at the brand spanking new Waldorf-Astoria Beverly Hills. In fact, we were the very first guests ever to use our suite! I booked their Premier Access pkg available only in June. Free dinner (& wine!) at new Jean-Georges restaurant & couples massage at La Prairie spa. All that & an AMEX offer, too, on what we DID pay for!

There was also a $30 off Hampton Inn stay we just used in Tomball, Texas! AMEX offers are fantastic. We more than get our $95 annual fees back on our AMEX cards for services/experiences/shopping we were otherwise doing. Can’t say enough about the program, and I am sure to check every so many days for updates on new offerings.

  3. nothing (Caesars or BW) at all on my 5 AMEX cards. Do you have to have a Platinum to see the “better” offers?

  4. Is there ever a way to trigger the AmEx offer reward by purchasing a hotel gift card (either in person or online)? I have offers, some expiring soon, for Embassy Suites/Homewood Suites, BW, JW Marriott, & Omni Hotels–but no firm plans to stay at any of these anytime soon.

      • I am not sure. In many cases the answer will be no, but it is possible there is a working way to do it with some chain. If the hotel itself sold a gift card at the physical location that should work.

      • Most AMEX offers of the variety discussed specifically “exclude gift card purchases,” but I have read on other blogs where a gift card purchase slips thru and is paid on now & then. Just have never tried it or had success doing so. I HAVE had AMEX exclude a certain brand from an offer on several occasions, however, and then inadvertently pay an offer towards it anyways. In other words mistakes CAN happen in your favor but nothing you can hold AMEX’s feet to the fire over. Or certainly ever count on.

My general rule: AMEX offers are fantastic if you were going to do the spend anyways. Reworking plans to fit them drops their value to just okay (dep on the amount, of course) but hoping for a mistake to cash in is a terrible idea that will likely disappoint. Just my 2 cents…read, & abide by, the fine print carefully.
