I think the most undervalued hotel loyalty program out there today might be Wyndham Rewards. Now, I understand why their reputation isn’t the best since some of their properties are sort of underwhelming and they have made big unannounced award chart changes in the past. That said, over the last couple of years they have had a flat rate system where all award nights are 15,000 points per night…and they actually have some pretty great properties (in addition to the underwhelming ones).

Earn a Free Wyndham Rewards Night With Two Eligible Stays

Via their new promotion, from now until October 31, 2017, Wyndham Rewards members who book a qualifying stay on the Wyndham Rewards mobile app (iOS and Android) or online at www.wyndhamhotels.com can earn 7,500 bonus points by paying for the stay through Masterpass. Masterpass is basically like Visa Checkout as it stores your credit card info for quicker online check-out. You can earn this bonus twice during the promo period with two eligible unique stays for a total of 15,000 bonus Wyndham Reward points.

Remember that a free night with Wyndham Rewards costs a flat 15,000 per night, so that means that two stays via this promo nets you enough bonus points for a free night at any of their properties – including their all-inclusive resorts! The upside of Wyndham having some very budget properties via chains such as Days Inn, Ramada, Super 8, and others in their line-up is that I can easily book a night in the Houston area for around $45 per night at a budget property.

Now, I probably won’t actually want to stay in the properties around here that cost $45 per night, but if I did that sort of check-in twice, I would pay about $90 for the 15,000 bonus Wyndham points that could get me an award night somewhere like the Wyndham New Yorker, Wingate by Wyndham Midtown Manhattan, Hotel Henri Manhattan, or one of the Dolce properties in places like Aspen or Napa that can easily cost $200+ per night or more. I bought 15,000 Wyndham points in the Daily Getaways sale for $175, so paying under $100 for that same amount sounds pretty decent to me.

You will also earn your regular Wyndham points outside of the 7,500 bonus points via the Masterpass promo on your stays, so this is an offer to seriously consider for your fall travels. I don’t know any other current hotel promo that will get you an award night you can use around the world after just two eligible paid stays.

This promotion is available to Wyndham Rewards Members who are residents of the U.S. or Canada (other than Quebec), so sorry to our friends in other places. Is this Wyndham Rewards promo on your radar?

  1. I am trying to make a booking with the app. For a Tryp property – but it doesn’t show it. When I try to book the property on Wyndham it takes me to another site.

  2. I also received an offer via email (targeted?) that gets me 10,000 points with any stay. Paired with this would make it a fabulous deal.

  3. Fyi Wyndham offers the best point value for decent hotels in Manhattan next summer…taking our 10 yr. old next yr. Thanks for the NYC posts!

  4. We will be booking 2 nights in Orlando after separate trips to Disney so we don’t have to drive home to Tampa. Thanks for sharing 🙂
