The most straight-forward hotel loyalty program is back at it with a new promotion that will award you enough bonus points for a free award at any of their hotels around the world with just three stays completed from November 1, 2017 – February 28, 2018, if you book directly with them and pay using Visa Checkout between November 1, 2017, and January 31, 2018. This means you need to rebook any planned stays during that timeframe if you want them to count towards this promotion.
As you may remember, they just wrapped up a similar (and more generous) promotion using MasterPass.
Via this new promotion, Wyndham Rewards members can earn bonus points in the following tiered breakdown for a total of 15,000 bonus points with three eligible stays using Visa Checkout, which is really just a way to quickly store your credit card information for online transactions. GoFast and GoFree awards sadly do not count towards your needed eligible stays.
- 1st stay earns 3,000 bonus points
- 2nd stay earns 5,000 bonus points
- 3rd stay earns 7,000 bonus points
The promotion is open to Wyndham Rewards members who are residents of the U.S. or Canada (other than Quebec). Bookings can be made via the Wyndham Rewards mobile app (iOS and Android) or online at www.wyndhamhotels.com. Visa Checkout is not available for payment when a booking is made through WyndhamRewards.com and GoFast and GoFree awards are not eligible for this promotion.
I personally don’t view this promotion as mattress-run worthy for most since three stays is a lot in order to earn a free night if you didn’t already need those stays, but it is a very solid promo if you have planned travel that you can align with earning this bonus. We recently got some pretty huge value from the Wyndham Rewards program by having Josh stay at the Hotel Henri in New York City using a GoFast award when rates across the city were sky-high, so I’m a big fan of picking up Wyndham Reward points whenever you can, especially if it is as simple as using Visa Checkout when booking a stay online.
Did you make use of the recent Wyndham Rewards MasterPass promo, or will you be able to use this promo in order to rack up some bonus Wyndham Rewards points?
